Team Jos Vercammen (Vremde, BE) to represent Belgium in the Brussels Olympiad with Olympic Eva

The combination from Vremde did great in 2016 as well, and the crowning achievement followed at the end of the year, as they are to represent their country in the upcoming Brussels Olympiad with Olympic Eva. She is one of three Belgian pigeons selected for category C long distance.

A household name

Some things will never change in pigeon racing. For instance, one can be confident that the Vercammen family from Vremde will be on the same level as they were in the past ten years. It might not be a certainty but it is highly likely. Make no mistake; Jos and Lars leave nothing to chance and they continue to invest to try and create the ultimate racing bird. They have won no less than 29 national top 10 prizes since 2009, including most notably a 1st and 2nd National Bourges (and the fastest two pigeons of 64,621 pigeons overall), a 1st National Chateauroux and a 1st National Gueret. A complete overview of all the top 10 prizes can be found here. Olympic Eva is another promising newcomer in the team; she is to represent her country in the upcoming Olympiad, which takes place in her home country in Brussels, in category C long distance. Needless to say, the family is proud of her achievement.

His descendants continue to achieve brilliant results in pigeon lofts across the globe. It would be impossible to include Elektro's countless references here, but we made a brief selection. He is first of all the sire of:

Paulo (BE09-6248171) won a 1st Interprovincial Blois (462km) (1,519 pigeons)

Elektro's grandchildren proved even more talented. Among them is Olympic Eva, but there were a few other stars as well:

From Chateauroux (526km).

A great ambassador to our sport

Jos and Lars Vercammen are the proud owners and breeders of racing bird Olympic Eva. She will be representing her country in the upcoming Olympiad in Brussels. We as Belgians should be proud as well, as we continue to be one of the leading countries in pigeon racing worldwide. This is largely thanks to the many top lofts that have dominated the sport for decades. The team of Jos Vercammen is still one of the most remarkable and most inspiring ambassadors of pigeon racing, and we think they should get the credit they deserve.
