Not only has the goal been reached; year after year records are broken with KBDB Ace Pigeons and KBDB National victories. Now the moment has come that it nearly can't get any better. Nikolaas took one of the toughest decisions of his career; auctioning all breeders and racers from 2021 and older*, as well as a beautiful selection of youngsters 2022 and 2023 from the best pigeons! PEC idealogy
As PIPA CEO, Nikolaas saw 'his' auction house grow to become a world renowned company selling exclusive racing pigeons. Like no other he saw how many Belgian super pigeons were sold across the world, and never heard of again. 'Cherishing and improving the status of Belgian racing pigeons', with this in mind he started the PIPA Elite Center. Nikolaas is the driving force of this institution, but the addition of Pascal Ariën to project in 2014 was absolutely crucial. 'The master breeder', as Nikolaas calls him, became the head of the breeding team and in no time leaps were made forward.
At the time, Nikolaas owned a select number of breeders with phenomenon New Freddy (1st Nat. Ace Pigeon Heavy Middle Distance KBDB) as absolute stock breeder. The genes of this breeder still run through the colony and under the supervision of Pascal some superior bloodlines were added to this base - including Ariën-De Keyser and Bart Geerinckx - to further develop the colony. This led to an amazing synergy, as the Golden Stock pair Wacko Freddy x Lieve descend from a combination of these bloodlines. Looking back in their pedigrees across many generations, illustrious names such as Houben, Gebr. Janssen, Heremans, Geerinckx, Meulemans, Grondelaers, Verreckt-Ariën, Stoches, De Rauw-Sablon, Van Dyck and Vandenheede led to this Golden Pair; the best of 40 years Belgian pigeon sport unified in the best breeding pair of the modern era!
After Porsche 911 dominated the skies in 2015 and together with his brothers and sisters were the stars of the racing team of Ariën-De Keyser, Nikolaas decided that no children from Wacko Freddy x Lieve would be sold. This was the pair that laid golden eggs. That the status of this breeding pair would become so huge is something no one could have foreseen. Almost every brother or sister of Porsche 911 has an outstanding palmares, as racer and/or breeder. What to think of Porsche 911 himself? He became the new stock breeder who's fame is a result of breeding generations of winning pigeons across the world!
Record after record
The power of the Golden Pair Wacko Freddy x Lieve firstly came forward on the satellite lofts Ariën-De Keyser, Caseart--Sénéchal and Karlo Van Rompaey. Since 2015, these lofts are responsible for the domination of PEC pigeons on Belgian heavy middle distance and long distance races. Record after record was broken and when one would think it couldn't get better, another spectacular result was achieved! A short impression of good, better, best during the past 4 years:
- In 2020 5 direct PEC pigeons are found amongst the Top 10 National KBDB Long Distance Ace Pigeons
- In 2021 direct PEC pigeons win 2x 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB … 13x amongst the Top 15 National KBDB Ace Pigeons … and 4 National victories!
- In 2022 3 PEC pigeons represent Belgium at the Olympiad and also the 1st National Tulle is won
- In 2023 PEC pigeons take a total of 4x 1st National victories and win 1st-2nd prize 3 weeks in a row on national races … the 1st Nat. KBDB Ace Pigeon Long Distance YL is also a direct PEC pigeon.
In the meantime, descendants of the Golden Pair have won 17x 1st National victories in Belgium; an impressive number.

Dominant at International One Loft Races
Two of the three ambitions have been achieved through the abovementioned successes. In recent years, the goals have been completed by realising fantastic results at the most prestigious One Loft Races in the world. Both PEC and sports friends across the world which invested in direct PEC pigeons wrote history by winning 1st Ace Pigeon and 1st Final in races from China to Thailand....from the Emirates to South Africa....and from Europe to America.
Starting on Boxing Day 26th December 2023 one of the most successful chapters in Belgian pigeon sport comes to an end. All figureheads* of the PIPA Elite Center will become available in auction, including the best children of Golden Pair Wacko Freddy x Lieve, Olympiad pigeons, 1st National KBDB Ace Pigeons and 1st National winners and results from co-breeding between PEC icons and other (Inter)national superstars. In conclusion; the best of international pigeon sport will be available in auction, on PIPA.
* The only pigeon from 2021 that will not be sold in auction is Porsche II. This is Nikolaas and Pascal their favourite pigeon and is chosen to uphold the legacy of this PEC era in the new breeding team of PEC 2.0.
