We would like to introduce some of past season’s racing stars. Starting off with the provincial winner on Issoudun, by taking a podium spot he was also very close to the national victory.
Feniks
It was the yearling cock Feniks who arrived like a rocket in Ruiselede on June 26th. That day this yearling with ringband number BE21-3077407 was good for:

Video Feniks
This was one of the many provincial victories for Rudi and his strong colony. It is no coincidence we find De Saer his New Tours back in the pedigree of Feniks. An absolute star and the foundation cock to the colony, who was a phenomenal racer himself:

New Tours (brother Antonio, the other world-famous star of De Saer) was paired to Daughter 1 New Jens (BE15-3110250). From this pairing Matteo BE19-3039703 was bred, who in turn is the father of Feniks.
Mother of Feniks is Lotte BE19-3039783, a half-sister of the 1st Nat. Limoges. She descends from top breeder Gino Boy BE09-3171413 (direct Gino Clicque) and Flasch BE10-3020796 (100 % Gaby Vandenabeele).
Old birds
Amongst the old birds, there were 3 pigeons in particular which showed themselves. Milan BE19-3039571, a grandson of New Tours, is one of these stars. He won amongst others:

Milan’s father is Milanov (BE14-3115675), a full brother of Falco, 3rd Nat. Ace Pigeon Allround KBDB 2016 and 18th Nat. Ace Pigeon Long Distance 2015. Milanov and Falco are sons from the pair Zorro (BE10-3183604) x Bianca (BE12-3120246) are largely from Gaby Vandenabeele bloodlines, like many of Rudi De Saer’s pigeons. Moreover, Bianca, just like Antonio and New Tours and many other top pigeons, a child of the super pair Zoon Groten x Tgoedje.
Mother is Azalia (BE17-3075291) a daughter of New Tours and Bianca. The mother of Milanov can thereby be found twice in the pedigree of Milan, he is a double grandson of Bianca. With grandparents Bianca (2x) and New Tours, the stock pair Zoon Groten x Tgoedje can be found thrice in Milan’s pedigree. A fantastically inbred pigeon!

Mother of Lama is Bianca, a daughter of the stock pair Zoon Groten and Tgoedje.

Rudi De Saer can look back on a fantastic racing season at his lofts. He continues to be a fancier to watch when it comes to long distance racing, but also on the shorter distances he can regularly be found at the top of the charts. Evidence hereof are the results on amongst others Clermont, Pontoise and Fontenay this past season.

One Loft Races
In the past, the De Saer pigeons already booked fantastic results on One Loft Races. That this is a good way to test the strength of one’s colony is evident. Some of the most noteworthy victories at One Loft Races in the past years with De Saer bloodlines:

These successes have pushed Rudi more and more towards One Loft racing and recently he decided to partake in these flights himself. He does so quite selectively still. In 2022, he only participated in 2 different OLR. Despite these ‘limited’ chances, he still raced for the prizes!
On only 2 One Loft Races, namely the Pattaya International Pigoen Race (PIPR) and AfrikaPro OLR, the following results were achieved:

With these results, the bloodlines of Black Lola, which already ensured successes on his own lofts, now shine on One Loft Races!
His OLR achievements are an impressive feat, but quite possibly the result of a specific breeding strategy Rudi has.
De Saer enters pigeons to OLR which are a cross of the Best Kittel family of PIPA Breeding and his own stock. The cross between De Saer and PIPA Breeding is clearly a golden combination.
The cock 'Junior x Mother Best Kittel 052' (BE19-4130052)' offers a quality impulse in terms of OLR racers. On father’s side he is a grandson of Best Kittel and is mother is Mother Best Kittel (BE14-1034371). The 14-052 thereby certainly carries the necessary Best Kittel genes.

Lastly, we would like to address some impressive references from pigeons that descend from the De Saer colony, amongst them are 2 National winners in 2022!
Joël Verschoot won the 1st National Valence against 6,056 Old birds. Joël won this tough race, in extreme heat, with Bisty (BE17-3031152). On both sides of his pedigree, we find the stock of Rudi De Saer. Grandfather on fahter’s side is de As (04-3176837), a grandson of Sister Tgoedje.
On mother’s side, we find the grandmother is Saerke 06 (BE06-3125852). She is another 100% De Saer, bred from two 1st Prize winners: Blauwe Turbo x Argentonneke.
Bisty is a brother of Baziel (2nd Nat. Angouleme 2018) and he himself is also winner of 72nd Angouleme against 5,030 p.
The second national victory in 2022 with a De Saer bloodlines was on account of New Fabian raced by Team BDS/Speybroeck. New Fabian (BE21-3099103) wins 1st Nat. Issoudun against 12,349 Yearlings.
Fabio is a grandson of the icon Antonio (BE10-3020860), winner of 1st Nat. Souillac 7,756 p. Antonio is, like many other cracks, a child of stock pair Zoon Groten x Tgoedje.
Enjoyable season
On many fronts, 2022 was a fantastic year for Rudi De Saer. On his own lofts, on One Loft Races and even through national victories by descendants from his stock, Rudi could truly enjoy the 2022 season. Names such as New Tours, Antonio, New Jens, Black Lola,...are now followed by amongst others Blacky, Axel, Neymara, Acelyneke, Milanov, Milan, Loco, Ace and of course Feniks...
The foundation of this precious stock built by Rudy, still ensures the successes booked today in Ruiselede, or anywhere else in the world for that matter. This stock that has proven itself time and time again on a national level. It is clear that with such a strong foundation, a fancier can not only reach the top, but stay there.
