A report on the provisional result of the British International Championship Club race from Falaise on 13th June 2020

345 members sent 7,441 pigeons to Falaise with the British International Championship Club. They were liberated at 07.15CEST into light south-easterly winds. The following is a report on the provisional result based on members' verifications.
Rod & Linda Rann

First open and first centre section was a two year old on 2045mpm for Mr and Mrs Rann and Son of Shalfleet. Rod and Linda timed Straaljager, a full brother to their 2019 Solent Federation winner from Fougeres, which unfortunately was taken by a peregrine when on a training toss this spring. Having lost a lot of pigeons to the hawks on the Isle of Wight, Rod has changed his system from widowhood to natural and since the birds have had complete freedom around the loft he has not lost one. Straaljager's first race of the season was from Honiton when he was first back to the loft, he was sent to Falaise driving to nest. The dam of Straaljager is a Jim Biss pigeon that Rod kept when he gave up racing in 2012 and the sire is a son of John Halstead’s 1st Open Central Southern Classic Flying Club, Countances.
