The young birds of the De Vroe-Van Gaver pigeon family have already won two national victories. In 2008 Guy Everaert won a first national from Bourges against 41,783 young birds with his pigeon Vroeke, which was bred from the top pair of De Vroe-Van Gaver (Zoon Kleine Schonen, 920-06 x Van Gaverduivin 445-03). Last weekend the fanciers of De Vroe-Van Gaver won a national victory themselves as well with their hen Benji. Benji was bred from a brother of the outstanding racing bird Den Tiets (from stock pair 2 De Grijze Provinciaal x De Sterke) x a daughter of top class racer Den Drinker, whose mother is a full sister of the first nat. Bourges 2008. Just to show you that the De Vroe-Van Gaver fanciers have a unique collection of national prize winners.
The winner of the most important young birds’ classic will be in great demand in the international pigeon market and the outstanding origins of Benji will further increase its popularity. That is why De Vroe-Van Gaver have decided to have PIPA organise the auction, leaving every fancier with a fair chance of getting their hands on Benji.
PIPA is genuinely proud to open the new auction with such a spectacular auction! We see you on 12 August!
