As with the other good causes, Vzw Boven De Wolken will be answering a few questions as a means of introduction:
What is Vzw Boven De Wolken?
"Losing your baby shortly before or after birth is a devastating tragedy for the parents. They have to say goodbye to their child before they even had the chance to get to know it. Vzw Boven De Wolken wants to help the bereaved parents cope with their grief by offering a professional photo shoot for their deceased baby. The pictures create a wonderful and vivid memory of their beloved child, and it can really make a difference in the grieving process. Also, the pictures allow them to show their baby to family and friends. After all, they are proud of their baby, just like any parent, and they want their loved ones to get to know their child. The photo shoot is a free service for the parents. Our organisation runs solely on donations."
How many employees does Vzw Boven De Wolken have?
"We have more than 60 volunteer photographers and 12 administrative volunteers who work with heart and soul, although it can be quite challenging at times."
How and where can you get in touch with Vzw Boven De Wolken?
"Parents and hospitals can reach us on our website www.bovendewolken.be if they would like to have a picture portrait of their deceased baby. We will do everything we can to have one of our photographers available within the next 24 hours. We have photographed over 300 babies since our foundation in April 2016."
How to support Vzw Boven De Wolken directly?
"You can support us directly on our web page www.bovendewolken.be/steun-ons."
