The number two is “Iron Man”(BE17-6025089), which was understandably basketed as the team's first yearling. "He is almost impossible to beat in a headwind", says Lars. "He won the race from Noyon as a young bird in hot weather and in a strong headwind, coming in first against 669 pigeons with a 7 minute lead. He has a 100% prize percentage this year. He wins a 1st Chevrainvilliers (354km) of 654 pigeons, again in a headwind. The sire comes from Verkerk, and the dam is a sister of Aladdin (1st Nat.
