We had to wait until 13th of June for the first official event of the season: the first middle distance race from Melun. The combination had 56 pigeons at the start (olds + yearlings) and they promptly took the win of 2,759 pigeons.
Their first victory of the season was a convincing one, with a racing team that is clearly getting up to speed, without having to work too hard. The team's overall result was not yet on point but that does not take anything away from the performance of their race winner.
That race winner is La Donna (BE18-6020283), a hen with a few tricks up her sleeve. This is her palmares so far:

Talented new breeder Elektro Jr.
The son of stock breeder Elektro is showing to be an increasingly important breeder in the lofts in Vremde. This 5th National Ace Pigeon KBDB bred quite a few early finishers in this middle distance race from Sermaises.
For instance, the pigeons that finished in 14th, 24th and 34th place (of 3,125 pigeons) are all direct youngsters of this super class breeder.

And lastly we have the best performing birds in Vierzon, with an 8th semi-national (of 6,377 pigeons) being won by BE18-6020080, a granddaughter of top breeder De Leeuw, and a great-grandchild of none other than stockbreeder Elektro.

The 46th place Semi-National Vierzon was won by BE18-6020086, a full sister of La Donna, winner in Melun (14/06). This makes this hen another direct descendant of national winner La Perla (1st Nat. Gueret of 2,656 pigeons).
And the 90th place Semi-National Vierzon was won by BE18-6020129. This granddaughter of Green Elektro won a 4th national of 2,850 pigeons in last year's national race from Chateauroux!
It is clear that the racing team of Hok Jos Vercammen has been confidently building towards the national races, producing increasingly promising results over the last several weeks. They are on the road to yet another amazing achievement!
