Racing the Vandenheede pigeons is no easy task. All competitive fanciers that battle the brothers Freddy & Jacques Vandenheede week after week know this. The 2022 season doesn't seem to be an exception, the results since the start of the national racing program with the classics Bourges, Argenton and Limoges prove this. At the club level, the strong competition was simply blown away by the storm of prizes taken in the Heulestraat in Kruisem. The Vandenheede pigeons are yet to be beaten in the club, in their own region. On all three national races where they basketed, they were victourious, taking at least the 1st prize. We talk about 'at least' as on several of these races they even took the first 3, first 4, first 5 or even first 6 prizes. Good luck trying to stop these men taking the win...
1st Provincial and 1st Zonal Bourges
No one could stop the Vandenheede train. This resulted in the 1st Provincial and 1st Zonal victory of the 2022 season, with the yearlings on Bourges. The numbers below speak for themselves:

59 prizes out of 114 yearlings with 30 pigeons taking prizes 1:10

A week later, National Argenton I was to be flown. Due to the forecasted thunder in France on Saturday, the Vandenheede brothers took the decision to basket a select group of old birds and take no risks in advance of the first long distance race from Limoges a week later. However, this seemed to make little difference for the competition...both in the old birds race as the yearlings race they took the win. On the yearlings race even taking the first 4 prizes (1st-2nd-3rd-4th). See the results below:
04/6 Argenton Club 344 Old birds: 1-3-8-21-27-50-59-68-95-98-107 (11/16)
Argenton National 20,467 Old birds: 34-115-278-614-805-1912… (11/16)
04/6 Argenton Club 400 Yearlings:
1-2-3-4-6-7-8-9-13-14-18-19-21-22-23-29-30-31-33-36-39… with 21 prijzen 1:10 and a total of 55 prizes out of 100 basketed yearlings
Argenton National 18,763 Yearlings:
13-21-25-31-66-76-100-108-225-302-558-561-622-645-654… with 28 1:10 and and a total of 55 prizes out of 100 basketed yearlings
The opening classic on the long distance from Limoges was to be the next success for the Vandenheede pigeons, with countless prizes and starting with the 1st-2nd-3rd-4th-5th in the club and 9 pigeons in the Top 10. The competition may start to get hopeless, having to race against these dominating brothers..
11/6 Limoges Club 354 Old birds: 1-2-3-4-5-7-8-9-10-12-15-17-21-31… with 14 prizes 1:10 and a total of 31 prizes out of 41 basketed pigeons
Limoges Prov. 4,011 Old birds: 3-4-6-7-12-22-23-28-30-53-62-78-91… with 17 prizes 1:10 and a total of 31 prizes out of 41 basketed pigeons
Limoges Nationaal 17.356 Old birds (preliminary result):
7-8-12-14-28-54-57-76-79-138-167-203-248-395-832-878-996… with 19 prizes 1:10 and a total of 31 prizes out of 41 basketed pigeons
Phenomenal results. It seems like a matter of time for the Vandenheede pigeons to take a new national victory.
Bruce leads the way with the 1st Prov. and 1st Nat. Zone A3 on Bourges
The super talented yearling cock Bruce BE21-4007018 left 6,113 yearlings behind on the provincial level and 3,521 yearlings in Zone A3 on Bourges, good for a 9th National against 24,221 yearlings.

A mighty group of super racers, with a leading role for descendants of stock pigeon Mattheo...he himself is a son of one of the world's most dominant breeders: the golden stock pigeon Limoges - De Rauw-Sablon.
The principle of breeding from KBDB Ace Pigeons
You may have noticed that most of these pigeons are direct descendants of National KBDB Ace Pigeons. Freddy and Jacques currently house countless National KBDB Ace Pigeons. Their breeding loft is largely built up from national KBDB ace Pigeons and national winners...raced on their own lofts. The result of racing at the highest level for years on end, as the absolute "Nr. 1" in Belgium on the heavy middle distance and long distance races.
Breeding from superior 1st prize winners and ace pigeons is the main principle of their breeding philosophy; the same philosophy which states that winners are bred from winners. A breeding strategy that has led the Vandenheede brothers to the top of the international pigeons sport and have stayed there ever since. Currently, their superiority seems boundless, no one can match or even come close to the level they are competing at. Dominating, excelling and winning, these are the words the Vandenheede pigeons speak with their wings. Unbeatable!
