Franz Wilhelm Gonschior, German high scorer, because a 57,1% racing result was one of his worst results! Can you believe it?

Here, the birds aren´t pampered, but they remain  in an open aviary throughout year, the youngsters as well the racers, and that during summer and winter. And that in the mountainous, and in wintertime often snowy, Sauerland. They race in total widowhood and the hens are just as good as the cocks. On the contrary, the Amazons from the Sauerland put fear into so many.

Franz Wilhelm said:“I'm self-employed and I have to organize my time well. I don´t have the opportunity to spoil my animals. The care must be as simple as possible. Throughout the year my pigeons sit in an open aviary during the day and they are equipped with a good immune system and veterinary costs are reduced to a minimum. Even the loft isn´t dirty, because the animals spend the whole day outside. “

In Wenden there exists a real pigeon family. They are stil able to win a great many prizes when they are 6 years old or older.

At the Lofts of Gonschior - the pigeons make for incredible story-telling. For example the mother of the"851" the "Olympic bird" 2003. The hen "422" has always belonged to the best hens in the loft, even when she was very young. She scored f.e. 1993 the 5th. from St.Pölten 650 Km. After several years at the breeding stud, she was reactivated in the year 2000 and flew another 10 prizes! Her father "40" was also an outstanding performer and scored 7 x very early, even when he was 9 years old.

Olympicbird "851" himself has won 77 prizes during his life, was 7th Acecock in Province and Olympic-Winner in France, at 8 years of age.
