A memorable year
Stefaan's incredible results over the course of this season were sometimes hard to keep track of. He excelled almost on a weekly basis, which resulted in an impressive number of top prizes. There is one achievement that comes to mind in particular: his fantastic result with the young birds in Melun, where he had 16 pigeons in the top 20 of 1,758 young birds! 83 pigeons won a prize per 10, and 57 pigeons had a prize per 20. Another 27 pigeons won a prize per 50, and 13 pigeons had a prize per 100. And there were just 10 minutes in between the first and 55th pigeon! His best pigeons covered 315km in about four hours' time. These are staggering numbers indeed; let's have a look at the full results:

And then came the national races. The team claimed a zonal first prize from Bourges II both with the yearlings and the young birds, against 2,836 and 7,477 pigeons respectively. And the young birds did fantastic in the closing national young birds' race from Chateauroux, winning the following prizes of 12,885 young birds:

Not only on his own lofts Stefaan Lambrechts wins all these titles and victories. A lot of other fanciers are doing great with the pigeons of Stefaan. Take a look at the list with recent references here.
Looking forward to the new season
Stefaan has a PIPA auction coming up soon, in which he sells his entire old birds' collection from 2014 and older. This means Stefan has a new challenge ahead of him, although we think he has reason enough to be confident about the future: he has had a fantastic group of young birds and yearlings that were able to excel on a weekly basis in the middle as well as in the longer middle distance. We are looking forward to the 2019 season, to see if and when the grandmaster will strike again by delivering another fantastic result.
