The corona virus has caused the 2020 season to look dramatically different than we're used to. And it is under these extraordinary circumstances that the greatest stars know how to get their racing birds in peak form for the first weekend of racing. Dirk Deroose is one of them: he claimed a 28th, 39th and 90th in the national classic from Limoges against 15,950 pigeons. His first finisher was a racing hen that already claimed a 7th National Aurillac last year. Her sire is a full brother of Niels (BE12-4216819), and the dam is a daughter of Champion (BE01-4094638) of Chris Hebberecht. Champion became 2nd National Ace Pigeon long distance KBDB in 2005.
Dirk's second finisher (he was the first pigeon to arrive home but his chip ring did not function properly) is a full brother of Marcel, 1st National Chateauroux and thus a son of top breeder André (BE07-4145554), who is once again showing to be an invaluable breeder. The dam of this cock is a daughter of Niels, which was paired to a daughter of the world famous New Freddy. As you know, champions breed champions!
Dirk's third pigeon, which also finished well within the national top 100, is a son from a joint breeding with Great Wall, bred from Zoom x Kaat. Kaat won for instance a 1st National Chateauroux and Great Wall obtained her from Willy Daniëls. Zoom is quite a talented bird as well, judging from his title of 2nd National Ace Pigeon long distance yearlings KBDB, based on a 7th National Limoges of 10,554 pigeons and a 32nd National Tulle of 9578 pigeons.
