The long distance birds of Jeroen & Stijn were sold for 33,800 euro in total. Jeroen and Stijn were selling not one but two youngsters of Jef. One of them stays in Belgium, and the second one is about to move to Romania. The latter one was also the most expensive pigeon of this auction; this inbred son of Jef was sold for 5,600 euro. The remaining ten pigeons are moving to Belgian lofts.
Verweij-De Haan (NL) - 19 pigeons - 1,753 euro/bird
A group of long distance bird from The Netherlands were offered for sale for the Verweij-de Haan combination. Potential buyers had the chance to obtain something special: a daughter of the now 18 year old Milos, paired to Red Rose. This bird was also the most expensive pigeon of this collection; she was sold to an Irishman for 5,400 euro. The other pigeons went to fanciers from The Netherlands (9), Belgium (4), South Africa (2), Great Britain (1), Italy (1) and Romania (1); the pigeons had a total worth of 33,800 euro.
Jan Hooymans (NL) - 12 pigeons - 4,975 euro/bird
Jan Hooymans sold another unique collection of pigeons this weekend. This Birdy Special consisted of 12 truly special birds, and this top quality collection attracted a lot of interest, which in turn led to 59,700 euro overall revenue. The most expensive pigeon was sale 1, a daughter of Birdy paired to New Harry; this young racing cock went to Qatar for 14,400 euro. The 12 pigeons will soon be on their way to Kuwait (4), Germany (3), the United States (2), China (1), Taiwan (1) and Qatar (1).
Gebroeders Scheele (NL) - 14 pigeons - 1,686 euro/bird
The 14 young birds from Zeeland were sold for a total of 23,600 euro. One of the eye-catchers was a youngster of Sonny x Cher, and this beautiful looking racing cock was sold to a fellow Dutchman. The remaining 13 pigeons were sold to fanciers from The Netherlands (4), China (3), Taiwan (2), France (2), Poland (1) and Belgium (1).
Rudi de Saer (BE) - 11 pigeons - 1,577 euro/bird
This auction was centered around 't Goedje, a hen was inbred to the world famous Kleinen of Gaby Vandenabeele. She is a fantastic breeding hen, and this auction gave fanciers the opportunity to obtain something special. A direct daughter of 't Goedje was of course included in this auction; she was sold to a Chinese fancier for 6,200 euro. The other ten pigeons will be moving to a new loft in China (4), Belgium (2), Canada (1), France (1), Japan (1) and Mexico (1). The overall revenue was 17,350 euro.
Liliane Demely (BE) - 6 pigeons - 3,250 euro/bird
Liliane Demely had an excellent average sale price in his auction, with a daughter of Mister Unique being the eye-catcher today. She was sold to a fellow Belgian loft, along with two other birds. The last sister of Mister Unique goes to Germany for 4,000 euro. The remaining two pigeons are moving to Taiwan and the United States. The auction raised a total of 19,500 euro.
Klaas & Rik van Dorp (NL) - 8 pigeons - 1,306 euro/bird
The beautiful looking hen Promise was the second most expensive pigeon of this auction, with a sale price of 1,700 euro. Sale 2, a son of stock breeder Jan, proved the most expensive pigeon of Van Dorp. This blue coloured cock moves to China for 2,600 euro. The 8 pigeons were eventually sold for 10,450 euro, and they all went to China.
Jewels of the sky Hyper Exclusive - 18 pigeons - 6,261 euro/bird
This Hyper Exclusive auction was perhaps the most sensational event of this weekend. The youngsters of Harry Junior of Jan Hooymans, and Nieuwe Laureaat of Batenburg-Van de Merwe were sold for 21,000 euro and 17,000 euro respectively. The pigeons of both fanciers have been in particular demand, and it showed in today's auction. PIPA will be donating part of the revenue to the Red Cross society, to support the fight against the coronavirus. The auction had a total revenue of 112,700 euro.
The pigeons will soon be transferred to their new owners in China (4), Belgium (2), Canada (1), France (1), Japan (1) and Mexico (1). The overall revenue for this auction was 17,350 euro.
Carlo Gyselbrecht (BE) - 17 pigeons - 1,491 euro/bird
Crack Ad was a terrific bird in the ZLU competition, and he became the 2015 ace pigeon ZLU. Carlo Gyselbrecht auctioned off two youngsters of this cock, and one of them proved the most expensive bird of this collection. He will be moving to China for 3,000 euro. The 17 pigeons will be put to the test in a new environment in Belgium (5), China (3), France (3), Germany (2), The Netherlands (2), Japan (1) and Taiwan (1).
Mark Gilbert (UK) - 39 pigeons - 1,373 euro/bird
Mark has a marvellous collection of pigeons suited for longer distance racing. He was able to obtain these pigeons from a number of prestigious lofts, and they are now being raced in England. The two most expensive birds in this collection are moving to Taiwan and Ireland, for 3,200 euro each. The auction had a total revenue of 53,550 euro. The buyers come from Taiwan (14), The Netherlands (4), Great Britain (4), Japan (4), Germany (3), Romania (3), Denmark (2), The Philippines (2), Austria (1), Spain (1) and Ireland (1).
