Another great result for Stefaan Lambrechts (Nijlen, BE) in Chateauroux: 1st Nat. Zone and 3-11-25-...National (15x top-108!)

This has been another fabulous season for Stefaan Lambrechts. He had some outstanding results in recent weeks, and he has now dominated the closing national race from Chateauroux as well, with an impressive overall result: a 1st Nat. Zone and 15 (!) pigeons in the national top 108 of 19,529 young birds!

Stefaan Lambrechts shows how it's done: 15 pigeons in the top 108 of 19,529 young birds from Chateauroux

Lambrechts pigeons continue to surprise

This fantastic pigeon breed seems to be unstoppable since making a fresh start in Nijlen; they have been winning top prizes on a regular basis. The last several weeks were already a major success, with exceptional results in the national races of Bourges II and Chateauroux II. His team won two national first prizes Zone B1 Chateauroux with the olds and one year olds (and a 2nd National Zone B1 young birds), as well as an impressive six national top 25 prizes in Bourges II and Chateauroux II combined (click here in case you missed our previous report). And the icing on the cake was yet to come: the closing national race, (again) from Chateauroux. They pretty much outperformed the rest of the pack (19,529 young birds). They have 15 pigeons in the top 108 at national level, as well as a 1st National Zone B1 of 6,161 young birds (and a 3rd National). This is a brilliant result!

Chateauroux III (06/09/2019)

The national closing race from Chateauroux was a memorable one indeed. Sit back and enjoy:

National Zone B1 (6,151 young birds): 1-9-12-13-14-20-24-25-26-31-32-44-55-58-61-75-90-121-123-148-169-174-185-206-209-218-219-222-241-243-245-302-303-307-308-322-323-330-355-367-375-413-437-440-460-472-484-560-602-... (70/101) or 49 pigeons per 10 and 15 pigeons per 100!

The recurring theme in this pigeon breed, and in the stunt team for Chateauroux, is the golden bloodline of superstar Linicia. This super class hen was 1st National Ace Pigeon shorter middle distance KBDB in 2015 with the lowest coefficient ever (0.483%) and with three first prizes to her name.

The special bloodline of this super class racing hen featured prominently in the pedigrees of several prize winners in previous nationals as well, and this race is no different. This bloodline, combined with Stefaan's golden breeding line of Blauwe Gert x Van Loock-duivin, makes for quite a pool of talent. We introduce you to the team that was responsible for one of Stefaan's most brilliant results so far:

BE19-6107413 - 1st Nat. Zone / 3rd National Chateauroux

The sire of this zonal winner is a half brother of Broer Stefaan - BE13-6304248, or the sire of international star Lincia. They are both sons of BE06-6173259 (Houben through Jelle Roziers), a super class breeding hen. And his sire is none other than Tornado, a 3rd Nat. Ace Pigeon sprint KBDB 2014 and winner of 4 first prizes (a 100% Karel Laenen).

The dam is a direct Leo Heremans (obtained as an egg) from the top lines of Heremans: Bolt, Gilbert, De Vooruit and Power.

BE19-6107354 - 9th Nat. Zone / 11th National Chateauroux

The sire is a direct Luc Vervoort (Hallaar, BE) and a brother of two ace pigeons. The dam had already bred a 1st Ace Pigeon Bevel 2017 and the co-winner of a 1st Provincial Championship title shorter middle distance young birds KBDB PE Antwerp 2017; she comes from the line of Goede Rode of Dirk Van den Bulck.

BE19-6107487 - 12th Nat. Zone / 23rd National Chateauroux

This is another grandchild (through its sire) of Tornado, 3rd Nat. Ace Pigeon sprint KBDB 2014 and winner of 4 first prizes (a 100% Karel Laenen). Tornado was paired to a half sister of Vroom (9th Nat. Ace Pigeon TBTB 2012 - De Bruijn), Porsche and Kawasaki (Eijerkamp), etc., and a daughter of Donker Bart (Bart Henderickx). Descendants of this hen have won a 1st Nat. substitute Olympiad nomination Brussels, 2 x 2nd National Ace Pigeon middle distance young birds KBDB ('13 and '15), 3rd National Ace Pigeon middle distance young birds KBDB '14, etc.

The sire (255/17) won himself a 1st prize from Chevrainvilliers of 2,128 pigeons, a 13th prize from Chevrainvilliers of 1,758 pigeons, etc.

The dam is a direct Wim Storms (Berlaar, BE), bred from a half brother of a 1st National Montluçon -  17,865 pigeons.

BE19-6107415 - 13th Nat. Zone / 24th National Chateauroux

The sire comes from a direct cock of Robin Van Leuven (the sire of a 13th Nat. Chateauroux - 10,442 pigeons) from the Olympiade 003 bloodline of Heremans, paired to a direct Jelle Roziers bird.

The dam is a daughter of stock breeder Blauw Gert, which stems from such world famous birds as Olympic Kittel (1st substitute Olympiad Pigeon Brussels), Rosita (1st Olympiad Pigeon Nitra 2013), Kittel (1st Nat. Ace Pigeon sprint KBDB 2013), Greipel (6th Nat. Ace Pigeon sprint KBDB 2013), etc. This stock breeder was paired to Super 188 (a 2nd Nat. Ace Pigeon shorter middle distance KBDB 2013).

BE19-6107449 - 14th Nat. Zone / 25th National Chateauroux

The sire of this 25th National is Henkie J., a 6th Olympiad Pigeon Cat. G 2019 and 10th National Ace Pigeon shorter middle distance KBDB 2018. He wins a 2nd Chevrainvilliers of 2,099 pigeons, a 2nd Chevrainvilliers of 1,727 pigeons, a 2nd Melun of 1,532 pigeons, a 2nd Chevrainvilliers of 667 pigeons, an 8th Noyon of 2,355 pigeons, etc. He was bred from the last son of super class breeding hen Donker Bart (Bart Henderickx).

The dam is a full sister of top bird Lincia, bred from Brother Stefaan x daughter Olymp. Poot (Dirk Van den Bulck).

The pedigree can be found here.

And the golden Lincia bloodline proved crucially important in the pedigrees of the 43rd, the 44th, the 46th (grandson Lincia), the 53rd (grandchild Lincia) and the 78th (grandchild Lincia) as well. Click on the national prizes for the respective pedigrees.

Super season comes to an end

Their national victory marks the end of the national racing season. It has been a victory march for the racing team of Stefaan Lambrechts, with an unprecedented overall performance. And the bloodline of Lincia has once again played a pivotal role. This is an achievement that pretty much sums up Stefaan's entire season: brilliant.
