Anneke & Pierre Faes (Baarn, NL) have had many successful seasons thanks to their Koopman pigeons

Anneke & Pierre Faes have a magnificent pigeon breed that knows how to deliver. Last year for instance they won the title of 1st Nominated Championship Sprint in Province 7. Their collection of Koopman pigeons has played an important role in this pigeon family.

Anneke & Pierre Faes (Baarn, NL)

Founded on Koopman pigeons

Pierre purchased his first 40 direct Koopman pigeons in 2004, 2005 and 2006. "We were very successful with them", Pierre remembers. In order to keep their Koopman collection up to date, they obtained another round of renowned Koopman birds in 2012 and 2013. At this moment, their breeding loft is home to almost 60 direct Koopman pigeons, and these have bred quite a few successful racing birds over the years, including for instance Helena.

Helena

Helena won the following titles in 2012:

2nd National Ace Pigeon Sprint
5th Ace Pigeon Sprint W.H.Z.B
Olympiad Pigeon Cat. A Sprint in Nitra Slovakia (2013)

She won these titles thanks the following achievements:

Duffel 1st of 8,728 pigeons
Nanteuil 1st of 3,060 pigeons
Duffel 2nd of 5,080 pigeons
Nanteuil 2nd of 5,030 pigeons
St.-Quentin 5th of 2,253 pigeons
St.-Quentin 6th of 5,574 pigeons

Helena originates from nothing but direct Gerard Koopman pigeons - her full pedigree can be found here. Her excellent results as a racing hen encouraged Gerard Koopman to purchase her and to give her a spot in his own breeding lofts in Ermerveen. The picture below shows the two fanciers agreeing on the transfer.

Can it get any better?

Anneke & Pierre Faes have been performing at a high level for years, and this is mainly thanks to their investment in top class pigeons. They obtained many pigeons of Gerard Koopman but they also purchased pigeons of such renowned fanciers as Pieter Veenstra and Stefaan Lambrechts. It goes without saying that their investments have really paid off. Anneke and Pierre are fanciers with a genuine passion for pigeon racing, which translates into great results. Will they be able to deliver the same results in future seasons? We think they will.
