Ahmad Majid (Assen, NL) had another super season on the short distance races in 2021

As many of you may know, Ahmad houses an exceptional colony of speed pigeons. This colony's is built up from pigeons of international top fanciers including Leo Heremans, Dirk van den Bulck, Jos Cools and Gustaaf Boeckmans. Thanks to a close friendship with these fanciers, Ahmad is the proud owner of stars such as Wondergirl, De Vooruit, Miracle line, Noortje, Cruijff, Little Kittel, Golden Kittel, Mother New 030, nest brother Miracle 307, Speciale Blue etc.etc... still today, these pigeons can be found in the pedigrees of current top racers.

In the past year, Ahmad has not been able to give the pigeons his full attention due the fact that he has become father of twins. The pregnancy of his wife and the many hospital visits meant that the pigeons got less attention. Nonetheless, he has managed to achieve beautiful results. The most grasping result was booked on the race from Reims. On this race, Ahmad had only entered two pigeons but managed to take the victory regardless; 1st NPO against 6,036 pigeons (and fastest of 12,805 p.). Another striking achievement is the 3rd Olympiad pigeon Young birds with Storm at the Olympiad in Romania 2022. 

As mentioned, the stock pigeons can once again be found back in the current top racers' pedigrees. Before we introduce some of these cracks further, we would like to show some results (only including prizes in the Top 100):

NL21-4773636 Olympic Storm, 1st NPO Reims 6,036 pigeons and 3rd Olympiad pigeon Young birds Romania '22

By far the most impressive result was booked on the NPO race form Reims on 28th August. Ahmad had only basketed 2 pigeons. The race in the week before had been tough, and Ahmad decided to give his young bird team some rest. The 2 pigeons that were basketed, looked to be in good shape and were entered on the race from Reims. The fact that the winner, NL21-636 (Olympic Storm), had took a 2nd place against 1,264 pigeons the week before may have contributed to deciding on basketing her anyway. The week before that, her nest mate NL21-635 won 1st Burdinne and Olympic Storm took 4th against 1,813 pigeons. It must be mentioned that on the same day that Olympic Storm won 1st NPO Reims (28 August), Ahmad also won 1st Gennep against 8,079 pigeons. Olympic Storm is truly a phenomenon. As her name suggest she will represent The Netherlands at the Olympiad in Romania '22 as 3rd Olympiad pigeon Young birds with the following results: 

Not to mention the beautiful pedigree of Olympic Storm. Her father is a son of super racer and breeder De Vooruit 027 (Leo Heremans) paired to a daughter of the super breeder Cruijff. This daughter herself became 1st Ace Pigeon Young birds R2. Mother of Olympic Storm is a half sister of Cruijff (Golden Kittel x Golden Greipel) and thereby a 100% Dirk van den Bulck.

NL21-14773647, 6th Ace Pigeon Young birds R2 and 9th Nat. Ace Pigeon Speed PIPA ranking 2021

The 647 finished as 6th Ace Pigeon Young birds in Rayon 2 and won more than 10 prizes in total: 

The father of this talent is Little Kittel. He himself finished as 7th Nat. Ace Pigeon Young birds Short Distance and is father of at least 10 1st Prizes and 28 Top 10 winners. Mother is Moeder K9 from the famous Miracle lines. 

NL21-14773674, 5th Ace Pigeon Young birds Sprint R2

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The father to this 674 is no other than the legendary Cruijff. Cruijff is a son of super breeding pair Golden Kittel (Dirk van den Bulck) x Golden Lady (Leo Heremans). He is (grand)father of 23 1st prize and 44 Top 10 prize winners. Mother is Mother New 030, who has proven her worth in the breeding loft on several occasions. Some of the best results achieved by NL21-674 are: 

NL21-14773643, 16th Ace Pigeon Young birds Sprint R2

This NL21-643 is a child of the great De Vooruit 027. According to Leo Heremans himself, this crack was one of the better pigeons on the his lofts during his racing career. As a breeder he is (grand)father of at least 10 1st prize and 56 Top 10 prize winners. Mother of this NL21-643 is Acy Cruijff. Acy Cruijff was bred from co-breeding with Gustaaf Boackmans and is a daughter of Cruijff x 11th Nat. Ace Pigeon 2016. The NL21-643 won several top prizes including 4th Gennep (2,624 p.) and 27th Kalkar (1,169 p.). 

NL20-4750518, 1st Ace Pigeon Late tour R2  

Also on the late tour the Majid pigeons showed themselves, shown by the 1st, 2nd and 9th ace pigeon on this discipline. The title 1st Ace Pigeon Late tour was won by this hen, the NL20-518. She is a daughter of De Vooruit 027, who also became father of 16th Ace Pigeon Young birds Sprint as mentioned above and is grandfather to Olympic Storm. Mother of his 1st Ace pigeon is a full sister of Mother Miracle 655. NL20-518 became 1st Ace Pigeon Late tour R2 with the following results:

This hen also knows how to win. Her father is no other than Little Kittel 077 who was paired to a daughter of Cruijff 439. Little Kittel 077 was also father of 6th Ace Pigeon Young R2 and 9th Nat. Ace Pigeon Speed 2021 (see above). The NL20-522 managed the following results on the late tour races:

The last pigeon we will introduce to you is the 9th Ace Pigeon Late tour and daughter of Special Blue (brother 030) x Special Vooruit). She managed the following results on the late tour races:

Ahmad isn't someone who finds success in supplements but rather in super pigeons. This attitude has paid off as it lead him to top fanciers such as Leo, Dirk, Jos and Gustaaf. Also due to their friendship he got his hands on direct top pigeons or co-bred. Each year, the standards are lifted a little higher. Ahmad factors in results, pedigree and being a judge himself, also the build and appearance of the pigeon. Other lofts as well have proven the exceptional class of Ahmad his pigeons. Here are some of the best reference of the past year:

• Wendela Wiersma had the 2nd Prov. Ace Pigeon Young birds, 3rd Nat. Ace Pigeon Young birds NPO 2021 and 16th Nat. Ace Pigeon Young birds  WHZB/TBOTB 2021 with a grandchild of Noortje.

• One of the Ace Pigeons of Dirk van den Bulck was bred from a son of the '205.

• Gustaaf Boeckmans bred BE21-6200342 Super Cruijff, from Sister Ace Cruijff (daughter Cruijff). This Super Cruijff became a.o. 2nd Nat. Ace Pigeon Young birds KBDB. His impressive palmares is as follows: 

• Breeding ace pigeons is not new to Ahmad, together with Dirck van den Bulck he bred a National Ace Pigeon KBDB and with Leo Heremans a 1st Ace Pigeon in Vorselaar. 

• Furthermore, there were many references from the Middle-East of ace pigeon titles achieved by (grand)children of Ahmad his pigeons.
