PIPA Elite Center doesn’t only shine on its own lofts, but above all lets others shine with PEC pigeons. 2022 was also the year in which the prince became king, with the rapid rise of “Prince Porsche”.
I have a dream…
PIPA Elite Center was founded as a small loft some 15 years ago with just a few pigeons. “New Freddy” (1st Nat. Ace Pigeon Heavy Middle Distance) was the first true stock breeder. It meant the start of a phenomenal bloodline. Today, the breed is still based around “New Freddy” in combination with several other superior bloodlines, primarily those of Ariën-De Keyser and Bart Geerinckx. These 3 lines formed the legendary golden stock pair “Wacko Freddy” x “Lieve”.
The golden stock pair of the PEC: Wacko Freddy x Lieve
There is no other breeding pair that made such a mark on world-wide pigeon sport than this golden stock pair, the parents of “Porsche 911”.
Taking a small step back to 2015... Ariën-De Keyser and PEC decide to partner up in 2014. Why? Well, Pascal Ariën has a great feeling for breeding super pigeons and forming special pairs and Nikolaas wanted to breed a superior stock of pigeons. Nikolaas supplies the pigeons, and Pascal pairs and races them. Although, Pascal also brings in the necessary quality, including the stock pair. It was the start of a success story.
In 2015, the Porsche pigeons dominate in Belgium for the first time, only 7 years ago. One day, Nikolaas even gets the request from Gaby Vandenabeele to see the arrivals at Pascal when Porsche was basketed for a race. Nikolaas drives by Gaby to pick him up and together they go to Tielt-Winge…Porsche also strikes that day. Directly after his arrival, Gaby asks Pascal if he can hold Porsche. He was just back on the lofts for several minutes after a 600km race under tough conditions. Gaby held Porsche and stared at Pascal in disbelief, “this isn’t the pigeon that raced is it? Not a sign of fatigue, you could basket him again right now”. Pascal replied that this was always the case when he returned home, just like his sister Boxster.
Pascal practices a rock-hard method in which every pigeon is raced almost every week on heavy middle distance or long distance races. In 2015, hardly any other lofts did this although it is becoming more common nowadays. To give an indication, in the Best Old bird PIPA Ranking 2022 across 6 Long Distance races: Ariën-De Keyser can be found on 1st, 3rd and 4th place. These pigeons never tire, always return home, and recover very quickly. This strategy has proven successful and resulted in many titles. In just a short period of time, “Porsche 911” became an icon in the pigeon racing world.
In 2016, Nikolaas decided that this was such a special pair that no brother or sister of "Porsche 911" would be sold. Until this day, this stock pair is still fertile and in 2022, 3 brothers/sisters of “Porsche 911” were born. There hasn’t been a brother or sister that was not a successful racer or breeder. Truly unique. Pascal and Nikolaas never really believed in golden breeding pairs until they noticed this pair was better than they could ever dream of. We won’t make a list of references of what brothers and sisters have bred in the past as there have been many publications of these performances already. However, we would like to mention some of the most recent highlights, achieved in 2022.
3 x 1st Olympiad pigeon 2022 Romania
The supremacy of pigeons bred at the PEC is unheard of. The most beautiful proof hereof are the 3 Olympiad pigeons that represented our country – Belgium – in August 2022 at the Olympiad in Romania. Olympiad pigeons are best pigeons of our country across 2 years. In this case, across 2020 and 2021. No less than 3 pigeons bred at the PEC were present on behalf of Belgium…and they were all grandchildren of the wonder couple Wacko Freddy x Lieve…yes, the parents of Porsche 911. Making this achievement even more special! Moreover, 2 of these Olympiad pigeons were bred from the same pair, which in the meantime has been named the Million Pair.
This “Million Pair” consists of Bart BE16-6033920, direct Bart Geerinckx (from Blue Lagoon x Acy: 1st Olympiad pigeon Cat. C 2014), paired to Panamera BE17-4062772 (full sister Porsche 911: and thus a daughter of golden stock pair Wacko Freddy x Lieve), and parents of
- Olympic Miss Million 210 BE18-4194210: 1st Olympiad pigeon Cat. D 2022 Romania (at Ariën-De Keyser)
- Olympic Miss Million 595 BE19-4184595: 1st Olympiad pigeon Cat. I 2022 Romania (at Ariën-De Keyser)
(Note: the achievements of these Olympiad pigeons can be viewed by clicking on their pedigree)
The golden stock pair Wacko Freddy x Lieve is also at the base of the third Olympiad pigeon of the PEC. This time a son bred from Gladiator Star BE16-6033823, direct Bart Geerinckx (from Gladiator x Little Star: 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon Heavy Middle Distance KBDB 2015) x Carrera 522 BE16-4129522 (full sister Porsche 911).
- Olympic Gladiator Junior BE19-4184154: 1st Olympiad pigeon Cat. C 2022 Romania (at Casaert-Sénéchal), 4th Nat. Ace Pigeon Long Distance Old birds KBDB 2021, 8th Nat. Ace Pigeon Long Distance YL KBDB 2020
These Olympiad pigeons were the 2022 season’s absolute highlights. However, they are at the top of a huge mountain of successes that have been achieved on the satellite lofts where PEC pigeons are raced up to the national classics. A mountain of successes so high, its peak is above the clouds. With the national victory on Tulle as the cherry on top. Please enjoy the following results:

It is incredible how successful the Porsche bloodline has become! Delivering many cracks, ace pigeons, 1st National winners, 1st National KBDB Ace Pigeons and Olympiad pigeons. It started with wonder boy New Freddy, who lies at the base of the stock pair Wacko Freddy x Lieve…from which the unmatched Porsche bloodline was founded. The Porsche bloodline has spread out across (inter)national pigeon sport, amongst others via the Million Pair, and also via the latest revelation in the shape of a new super breeding pair, the “Remco pair”.
Taycan 2222 x Ace 169 together make up the newest top breeding pair, the "Remco pair"
The Remco pair: new impulse for success
The latest discovery which ensures a continuation of these phenomenal performances is the “Remco pair”, made up of Taycan BE17-4062222 x Ace 196 BE16-4129169.
Taycan is a son of the PEC’s golden super pair Wacko Freddy x Lieve…and thereby a full brother of Porsche 911. Ace 196 herself became 2nd Best Belgian Yearling 2017 across 3 national long distance races and is bred from Son Nikolaas (from Nikolaas: 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon Heavy Middle Distance KBDB 2013 x Daughter ‘New Freddy x Amalia: both also 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon Heavy Middle Distance KBDB) x Dochter Fyther (1st Nat. Agen 5,507 p.) x Gloria (2nd Nat. Ace Pigeon Long Distance KBDB 2013).
A combination of national ace pigeons and winner’s bloodlines from which immediately a new generation of top racers was bred. We have made an overview of the most prominent offspring:
- Remco BE18-4194285: 3rd Best Belgian Yearling 2019 across 4 national long distance races
- Queen Remco 430 BE20-4157430: 1st Best Belgian Yearling 2021 across 3 national long distance races, with the modified KBDB criteria in 2022 this would have also been good for the title of 1st Nat. KBDB Ace Pigeon Long Distance Yearlings 2021
- King Remco BE20-4157930: 5th Best Belgian Old bird 2022 across 3 national long distance races
- Brother Remco BE20-4157765 : 3rd Best Belgian Old bird 2022 across 6 national long distance races -Sister Remco BE18-4194385: winner 5 x 1st Prize and 8th-8th-14th-23rd-67th Prov., 96th Nat… (see pedigree)

Fanciers that house such quality have nothing to worry about the coming years…
One Loft Races 2022:
The domination shown by the PEC pigeons on a national level in the most recent seasons is impressive to say the least. The goal set by Nikolaas Gyselbrecht when PEC was founded was to breed an allround pigeon that can perform and race to win under all conditions, anywhere in the world! What better way to test whether this goal has been reached than participating in One Loft Races around the world? This too, has been a success. In recent years, and again in 2022 this has become evident. Successes in which another gem from the golden Porsche bloodlines has an important role, this time it is Prince Porsche.
We limit ourselves to the most prominent results from renowned OLR world-wide:
Pattaya One Loft Race 2021-2022
In total there were 8,747 pigeons participating in this edition. This OLR is known as one of the toughest and most competitive in the world, with the best fanciers in the world sending in pigeons. The 1st Ace Pigeon in this edition of the Pattaya OLR was bred from a “Half sister Porsche 911”.
Other remarkable performances by grandchildren of “Prince Porsche” are the 8th Ace Pigeon, 10th Ace Pigeon after 5 races, 27th Ace pigeon, 39th Ace Pigeon…all won by Henrik Brinkmann.
Victoria Falls One Loft Race 2022
Participating in this year’s edition of the prominent OLR in Zimbabwe were a total of 8,764 pigeons. The ‘Super Ace’ competition is the most important of this OLR, with the most prize money. This competition includes Hot Spot 3, 4 and 5 as well as the final (across 4 races).
In the ‘Super Ace’ ranking, the PEC pigeons placed 9th, 15th and 29th. PEC is the only participating loft with 2 pigeons with in the Top 15 and 3 pigeons within the Top 30.
Descendants of the Porsche bloodlines sent in by other competitors complete this success with:
-2nd Super Ace pigeon of Ummbirka Loft is bred from a daughter of Porsche 911
-27th Super Ace pigeon of Al-Tahadi Loft is bred from a son of Porsche 911
-42nd Super Ace pigeon of Ummbirka Loft is also bred form a son of Porsche 911
Sofia One Loft Race 2022
There were a total of 1,903 pigeons participating. This is one of the largest OLR in Europe. PEC participated with 6 youngsters and took 3rd, 20th and 122nd in the final. Furthermore, PEC had 2 pigeons in the Top 10 of the ace pigeon competition with the 3rd and 9th Ace Pigeon.
In this ace pigeon competition, the descendants of breeding phenomenon “Prince Porsche” are at the top of the charts. The 1st Ace Pigeon was bred by Ahmet Cavdar from a direct PEC pigeon, from a son of “Prince Porsche”. Thereby, Prince Porsche is not only grandfather of 1st and 3rd Ace Pigeon Sofia OLR 2022…he is also grandfather of 3rd and 6th prize in the final and great grandfather of the 4th prize in the final. Sensational!
As Golden Pigeon Race 2021-2022
Possibly the best pigeon to have ever participated in this OLR, was bred from “Son Prince Porsche” x “Blue Gaia” by Henrik Brinkmann. This pigeon dominated every Hotspot race in which he took a 2nd, 5th, 29th and 33rd place, after which he won 4th prize in the Final. Normally this pigeon would rank 1st in the Ace Pigeon and 1st in the Super Ace competition…titles she missed out on because she wasn’t clocked on the 85km race due to a technical error. Despite this disappointment this pigeon…” Prince Finn”, became the most expensive pigeon ever to be bought from this OLR for €12,000. Bought back by Henrik Brinkmann himself.
Henk Brinkmann said the following about his fantastic ace pigeon: Prince Finn is one of the best pigeons on my loft. He achieved fantastic results under tough conditions, on 5 successive races with headwind. He descends from a combination of 2 stock pigeons, namely Prince Porsche and Finn, who both belong to the best pigeons on earth when considering results, pedigree, and the pigeon’s physique. This Prince Finn is one of the most beautiful pigeons I have ever bred.
Gold Wing - Ukraine Master 2022
23rd and 76th Final 550km for Lubomir Kubacek. A very hard final race, with only 29 birds returning home on the first day.
23rd: Great grandchild Prince Porsche
76th: Grandchild Prince Porsche
Africa Pro 2022
In the final race, the PEC won 14th place with 'New Kim', who is also the first foreign pigeon in this 601 km long final. 'New Kim' BE21-4153737 is an inbred hen to New Kim from Gaston Van de Wouwer and also a grandchild of both Porsche 911 and Golden Prince.
Indeed, these results speak for themselves!

Top references from the 2022 racing season
The class of this colony, as well as its breeding potential, is not only illustrated by the top performances, victories and titles achieved on its own loft(s). The performances with descendants of a stock on other lofts say just as much or possibly even more about a colony's quality. That the PEC has struck gold with the Porsche bloodlines is confirmed time and time again by achievements on its own lofts, One Loft Races and the endless list of top performances on other lofts.
The references are endless...too many to mention them all. Here are the most striking references from 2022:
-Team Jan Hooymans
Jan Hooymans is unequivocally associated with the Harry bloodline. With reason! Although, Jan is smart enough to keep an eye on top results achieved by his competitors. The results of the Porsche line included. Crossing the Harry line with the Porsche line...was his challenge. This must be a guarantee for success. All the expectations were met; spectacular results were immediate.

Class and quality in overload
Phenomenal, there is no other way to describe the success of the PEC Porsche bloodline. Nikolaas Gyselbrecht set some challenging goals when he first started the PEC...breeding a modern racing pigeon, capable of racing anywhere in the world, able to win no matter the conditions. A mission in which he is succeeding quite well. The achievements across the world are there, it is becoming quite an extensive list. The beauty of it all is that we haven't even seen it all. Each season another chapter is added to this success story. The bar is set extremely high. The only question that remains: how much higher can it go? We'll have to wait and see...
