Jean-Jacques Baleau (Moignelée, BE) has begun the 2013 season like he finished 2012!

'On the wheels': it is how Jean-Jacques begun his season. Being on the half of the season, it's time to check the first balance.

Jean-Jacques with his 3rd nat Orange.

Last year, our friend achieved a fantastic season and finished in the 2nd place of the national Championship Longer Middle Distance KBDB (14,4042%), finishing just behind the unbeatable partnership from Rumbeke, Kurt & Raf Plateeuw (12,8159%). You can see some great lofts struggling for this championship, actually it is considered as the hardest championship of the Belgian pigeon sport, far in front of the championship for the long distance. In this discipline, there are a lot of specialized lofts in our country and each loft who wants to win a classification into this championship must be there at each race of more than 400 kilometers. If its not possible, the result is simple and well known in advance: you won't be a part of the 12 lofts who will receive the honor to climb on the podium in Ostende. To classify your own loft into this championship is a real privilege and Jean-Jacques took his time to savor it. He is now owning an example of each national medal as he has already won the bronze, the silver and the gold!

In 2012, he also won seven provincial victories as well as seven classifications into the national top 100 with,  a.o. the 3rd national Orange from 4,443 pigeons. This year, he is going further into the long distance races as he won two weeks ago the 52th national Cahors from 8,570 pigeons.

Let's remember that five years ago, Jean-Jacques was nowhere in pigeon racing, he himself likes to mention it. A meeting has however changed a lot of things: when he met Jean-Marc Thibaut (from the partnership of Thibaut-Boons), he learnt a lot of things about pigeon management. He gave him a lot of necessary tips for the daily care of his loft, a simple management system. He also decided to introduce the Vandenabeele pigeons and he paid a visit to Geenen-Peeters (Maastricht, NL), Deno-Herbots and, logically, Thibaut-Boons. After this, he also purchased pigeons from the late Pros Roosen as well as some Van Avondt and he is breeding with pigeons from Limbourg and Hebberecht. Some classy material!
In five years, he has won three medals in the national championships (see above), he smashed everything in the provincial championships of Namur, he has won the middle distance championship of the LCB two years in a row (2010 & 2011) as well as the youngsters championship of the LCB (2009) and he was very close to winning a national victory! In fact, everything looks good for him!

Jean-Jacques, congratulations and good luck for the rest of the 2013 season!

encore toutes mes félicitations à toi et ta famille pour ces magnifiques résultats qui en amèneront encore bien d'autres
