(20/09/2019) Delrue-Vanbruaene (Lauwe, BE) claims title of 2nd Nat. Ace Pigeon extreme long distance KBDB 2019 with Klein Donker
A new superstar has emerged from the noble Vanbruane breed: Klein Donker. He is a fantastic racing cock with many top prizes to his name, ranging from Bourges all the way to the extreme long distance. This is the only Belgian pigeon that managed to win five national top 50 prizes in international races in four years' time.

This fantastic racing bird wins a 10th national Agen, which adds to an impressive five national top 100 prizes in an international classic in the extreme long distance. He is quite a champion indeed!

Patrick Delrue-Vanbruane shows season after season that he knows how to keep pigeons, and 2015 was no different. We had many tough races this season but Patrick managed to win a top result in each of them. He is holding a 4th, 5th and 16th place in the PIPA ranking with three international races. No one did it better than him!

Met de 4e, 5e en 16e beste duif van België op 3 internationale vluchten in 2015 op de hokken is Patrick Delrue-Vanbruaene de enige liefhebber van ons land die meer dan 1 duif – ja, zelfs 3 kleppers - binnen de top 20 weet te klasseren. Chapeau! De Vanbruaeneduiven, het zijn en blijven ijzersterke marathonvliegers!

We are writing about ‘April 1910’, the birth month of the late pigeon celebrity Andre Vanbruaene from Lauwe! Today we are 100 years… a ‘century’ later… the ‘Vanbruaene star’ is still shining just as brightly in the pigeon sky.

Wenn man nach Lauwe reist, fühlt man sich sogleich in eine andere Zeit zurückversetzt. Die Gedanken schweifen ab zu dem Ort in der Vergangenheit den jeder Züchter mit Ehrfurcht nennt.

The Belgian border municipality ‘Lauwe’… situated in the south of the province West-Flanders on the Belgian-French border… was put on the pigeon map by 2 celebrities in our national pigeon sport history who only lived a few hundred metres from each other…
