(07/02/2018) Pieter Veenstra and Hsu Ho Chen win this year's title of 1st Ace Pigeon Grand Average in the Million Dollar Race across all races
The prestigious Million Dollar Race took place last weekend. The overall victory went to South Africa; the best pigeon across all 16 races comes from The Netherlands. Pigeon fancier Pieter Veenstra and his Chinese companion Hsu Ho Chen finished in 14th place in the final, making a sudden leap from place 17 to 1 in the Grand Average ace pigeon ranking.

Ein fantastisches Endergebnis bei der Versteigerung aller Zuchttauben von Pieter Veenstra, was einem Durchschnitt von sage und schreibe 3.342 EURO für 224 Tauben entspricht. Miss Overegge ist mit 158.000 EURO die zweitteuerste Täubin, die je bei einer Online-Versteigerung verkauft wurde. Die jemals teuerste im Internet versteigerte Täubin war Dolce Vita von… Pieter Veenstra.

Pieter Veenstra showed in the race from Sens that he will be a force to be reckoned with once again this season. He had a great overall result in the one day long distance race from Sens, with no less than 12 pigeons getting a 1 on 100. A magnificent result.

The racing season in The Netherlands has started just a few weeks ago, and yet Pieter has already won his first important result. He had the fastest pigeon in the race from Deurne in province 11, claiming victory against 21,116 pigeons with a lead of 4.5 metre per minute.

With the end of the racing season approaching, Pieter and his son Aant-Arjen Veenstra agreed to add another brilliant result to their impressive palmares for 2014, winning an impressive 1st, 3rd, 7th and 8th prize in the young birds' race from Weert against 14,510 pigeons in district Friesland. Pieter gave us a hint of what his young birds are capable of.

Der Matador aus Drachtstercompagnie war selbst noch gar nicht auf die neue Saison eingestellt. Ihm fehlte noch die nötige Motivation, um das neue Reisejahr 2013 zu beginnen. Es war sein fanatischer Sohn Aant Arjen (8 Jahre jung), der seinen Vater anspornte, doch mitzumachen.

Gerüstet mit einer Mannschaft von Spätjungen des Jahres 2011 rückte Pieter Veenstra in diesem Jahr der Konkurrenz zu Leibe. Auf ruhige, unverbindliche Art wurde der Taubensport betrieben, aber auch jetzt verleugnete die Qualität sich nicht. Mit einer Spätjungen aus einem Bruder von 'Dolce Vita' flog Pieter den 4. NPO Orléans.
