The result from Arlon on May 21st , which the success brothers can add to their palmares, is one that stood out. 23 pigeons in the Top 27 of the provincial result against 13,967 pigeons; the result of a breeding team that was polished into the fine gem that it currently is!
The facts: in Afdeling 10 there were 13,967 pigeons entered on the middle distance race from Arlon (330km). Amongst which 150 Leideman pigeons; a vast amount, but the way these pigeons made their way home to Collendoorn is simply spectacular:
2nd-3rd-4th-5th-6th-7th-8th-9th-10th-11th-12th-13th-15th-16th-17th-18th-19th-20th-21st-22nd-24th-25th-27th etc., etc. (113/150).
The one pigeon that was just ahead of the Leideman bunch, was a pigeon of Henk Slot from Gramsbergen ... and it is no coincidence that this pigeon was bred from two direct Leideman pigeons; from son Ace 820 x Sia paired to a daughter of the super breeding sensation Tila.
Super genes form the base
The Leideman stock pigeons are thereby all well represented. Other names which are often found back in the pedigrees of top racers are a.o. Goed Grijs, Crack 19 and new wonder pair Arturo x Tila. A Leideman pigeon weekend
Several kilometers away, a direct Leideman pigeon, Kai Mook, won 1st Morlincourt against 17,024 pigeons. It was her third 1st Prize in large competitions for the Eijerkamp family.
