As a result, Bold Eagle became an Olympiad Pigeon Cat. C - long distance at the 2017 Olympiad in Brussels. It was a crowning achievement after a tremendous racing career.

From then on, Bold Eagle was put to the test in the breeding loft. And he did great, as we kind of expected. He is already the sire of 165/17, winner of a 22nd Nat. Chateauroux of 5,209 pigeons. But his best youngster so far is without doubt Top Son Bold Eagle BE17-4240711.

Investments

As a pigeon fancier you always have to strive for progress. And if you know Marc De Cock well enough, you know he will always aim higher. In his never-ending search for better bloodlines, he made some considerable investments in recent months to try and further strengthen his existing pigeon family.

For instance, he obtained the 2nd National Ace Pigeon All Round 2018 in the Kurt & Raf Platteeuw pigeon auction. Interestingly enough, it was Marc who bred that year's 1st National Ace Pigeon All Round, Rockefeller.

Rockefeller

He also invested in pigeons of extreme long distance superstar Jelle Jellema. And he obtained pigeons from the best bloodlines of the equally renowned Jan Hooymans as well, in the form of direct descendants of the "Harry" strain. And the Kittel bloodline of Van den Bulck was obviously on his shopping list as well.

These investments, combined with the many top class bloodlines that were already there in his pigeon lofts in Temse, will allow Marc De Cock to become even more successful in the future. As such, he will cement his reputation as one of Belgium's leading pigeon fanciers.
