Why an auction?
At the head of a recomposed family of 4 children, the current house of Tertre became too small. It became obvious that the family had to seek for a bigger house while keeping in mind the new geographic situation should fit for the ambitions of Kevin in the pigeon sport. That's why they started the construction of a new house at the west of the current location, more on the racing line of Flanders. Also, another important reason is that when you take such an important decision, you have to do it when you are still at the top. That's the reason why all the old pigeons from the loft are currently auctionned (∗), including the generation who allowed Kevin to win 3 national victories while enforcing a real domination in his discipline to his opponents:

(∗) All the pigeons born in 2018 and 2019 will be kept for racing a last season in the accomodations of Tertre in 2020, then they will only focus racing in Péruwelz.
Such an auction gives us the opportunity to check up all the main pigeons who built the reputation of this colony.
The golden pair '452' x 'Gold Ingrid'
Kevin owes his main success to the discovery of a fantastic breeding pair. The cock was mainly bred from local origins with a touch of Hebberecht blood and his parents are also parents of the 1st Interprovincial Ace Pigeon CFW GMD as well as the 1st Ace Pigeon Derby Hainaut. The hen was purchased at the brothers Van Gestel (Antwerp) and is bred out of the best lines from Paul Huls, a well known pigeon fancier.
What this breeding pair has produced over the last 5 years is simply amazing and it makes it one of the best breeding pairs to be found over the last ten years.

Ambre is a direct daughter of the pair 452 x Gold Ingrid and she won the 2nd National Ace Pigeon Great Middle Distance Yls KBDB in 2016.

The next year following the birth of 'Ambre', the golden pair 452 x Golden Ingrid became parents of 'Ambrouille' who won the title of 1st Provincial Ace Pigeon Great Middle Distance old birds KBDB in 2018.

Stormi is a grandson of Cya through his mother, which makes him another descendant of the golden pair 452 x Golden Ingrid. He won also the title of 1st Interprovincial Ace Pigeon GMD in 2018 and was also 4th Best Yearling from Belgium in the great middle distance with 4 prizes (PIPA Ranking), which leads him to be in fact unoficially classified as 22th National Ace Pigeon GMD KBDB.

The national winner of Bourges I 2018 is a hen received by his good friend Dany Dusausoit, former double national winner on the great middle distance races. Both fanciers are good friends and are exchanging birds regularly.

Conclusion
Being able to book such kind of performances is only possible when you are working with pigeons of great class and you can manage them with great care. Kevin proved to the world he was able to bring his team to a high level while booking results of worldwide class. In the near future, he will face a new challenge in his new accomodations. We wish him all the best but we are convinced that he will find his way to the top once again.
