Dusausoit Dany - Beloeil (BE) 1st national Argenton II, 23.921 youngsters.

Two weeks after Bourges and its 37.357 youngsters, Argenton followed on the national schedule, being the second national race for the youngsters. There were 23.921 taking part to the race.

If the first one was like an 'easy race' & had a price repartition +/- positive, the second one, with a strong north-east wind, was not anounced as a pleasure part. Everybody knows it, if you want to perform with this kind of wind, you got to have birds in perfect condition, and if possible fully motivated.
So, youngsters specialists were meeting on the second week end of august, and it was one of them who succeeded. The blue cock from Dany Dussausoit, 16m/min ahead of the first bird from the armada Van Winckel, was the fastest of the whole package of 35.340 birds.

Owner of a bike shop in Beloeil, Dany is everything but unknown. Since 3 years now, his colony took another dimension and this since the intake of the 'De Smeyter', with the hope of tickling as much as possible the Casaer from Néchin, judged as being the best. Eggs at the beginning, parents later on moved to Beloeil.
These origins are completed with two good cocks from Van Renterghem, René Lefevre & Benard Bonte, of which the national winner is coming.
The improvements didn't take long to show: for example, we already found Dany last year on the 6th, 45th, 46th & 68th national of Bourges from 41.783 youngsters, with not less than 4 birds in the top 100... unbelievable! In the 'Zone B', this translated into the 1st, 9th, 10th & 15th place of 16.504 youngsters!!
The same youngsters confirmed this year all the hope put in them for the 2009 season. Dany raced the entire program of the semi long distance with equal satisfaction: head prices from the begining till the end including the result of Bourges I good for the 34th, 40th & 45th price from
22499 Yearlings. The next week, Issoudun was scheduled: 4th, 5th, 9th, 12th, 16th, 22th & 48th against 5842 competitors.
The rest of the season brought a lot of satisfaction, then came the 'youngsters game' with this brillant national victory, you will judge by yourself for the results collected lower in this article. To realise such a performance is not given to anyone. You need performant birds & adequate care to achieve this. But Dany is not a man having a lot of free time devoted to his colony, his shop needs lots of presence. The racing season is concurrent with the bike season, hence more customers for Dany. That's why everything is reduced to the necessary. 'To the point', this it how it has to be.
The different flights are done at fixed hours, the youngsters are doing it in the morning. For them, Dany has 3 lofts. 100 youngsters were bred, there was 44 of them for Argenton. This is the consequence of the loss that happens each year & of the raptors who have their hunting territory close to the loft. They were separated since they showed coupling signs & darkened from mars until june. During the week, the trainings are rare because of the lack of time. The preparation to an important flight is not so special at all: vitamins in the middle of the week and sport food a few days before basketting. When they come back, they receive a full sport mixture and electrolyte in the water. For the begining of the week, they receive 50-50. The racing system is similary to the flemish specialists, otherwise it is impossible to compete.

After the basketting thursday night, Dany left with his family for deserved holidays. When he checked with his friends to know what was going on with his arrivals, they answered that he was certainly first national with his blue cock...incredible! Dany just missed the first national victory of his career. Anyway, he had lots of pleasure of course, and the phone didn't stop to ring. The national winner, 9020159/09, is a blue cock received from friend Bernard Bonte. His origin is a mix of the best of the Engels brothers. In fact, mother & father are both grandchildren of the famous '231', a world class breeding cock! His father, 2040034.06, full grandchild of the 231, also a full sister of 'Robin' & 'Chipy', two incredible racers who have made the beautiful day in the Houben loft. The grand father at the mother's side is a semi brother of 'Marieke', a top racing hen from Engels. His mother, de-06-1202, is out of a crossing from the 231 with a Grondelaers hen and at her mother side we find the 'dikke' 1st semi national Chateauroux from 13825. Good blood can't lie!

Was the winner specially motivated? 'Not that i know' answered Dany. 'But if i think about it further, the day before basketting, I gave my youngsters something against parasite. The winner had a small territory in a high place in his loft. When I treat against parasite, i put all of them in the same loft for doing it easily. The winner went back in his loft (who was next to the loft he put all the youngsters) each time i opened the door. It's like he 'forced the way'. This is maybe the explanation....' And of course, 3 days later, it was bingo!

Dany, you just won a great victory. I guess that now, a few of your opponents would like to introduce new blood from others lofts with the hope of beating you because you just became THE reference of the area. Congratulations & good luck for the future.
