First open and first section A was won by Ron Poole of Horsham with a three year old on 1141ypm over 543 miles. The sire of Ron's chequer cock was a pigeon from Ray Hammond of Albury when paired to a hen containing Eric Cannon bloodlines. Ron first acquired pigeons direct from Eric that had done well for him and in searching for similar blood he knew Ray was the man to go to. Ron, known as Whacker to his friends, has always sent to national races and has a few diplomas for positions from previous years. After ill-health forced him to take a break he is now starting again with help from his good friend Clive Turner. Ron's Tarbes national winner has now been named Lofty.

K and S Legg and Sons of Portsmouth were second open and first section B with a four year old hen on 1127ypm over 529 miles. The section winner was bred for the partners by the late Kenny Wearn and contains Cooper x Denny bloodlines. It was raced on the natural system and sent sitting twelve day eggs. It has now been named Kenny's Dream.

H and P Archibald of Dover timed a three year old on 1121ypm over 548 miles to take third open and first section P. Heathy timed his single entry, now named The Proof. The sire of The Proof was bred by Lee and Kevin Buddle and is a son of Tom and Day 30.
Bob Besant & Son
Bob Besant and Son from Worcester Park were fourth open and first section E with a two year old cock on 1049ypm over a distance of 563 miles. Bob's arrival was clock in the dark shortly after ten and is now named The Knight. The grand-dam of The Knight came from Roger Lowe's Little Diamond, whilst the dam is a grand-daughter of Brockamp's Euro Diamond.
The Durrant hen
Mrs and Mrs Durrant and Sons from Godalming were fifth open and second section E with a four year old hen on 1042ypm over 550 miles. This hen was bred from pigeons from two great distance fanciers, Ray Hammond of Albury bred the dam, whilst the sire is a grandson of Eric Cannon's Culmer Gold, the Pau diploma of merit winner.
Khan Brothers
The Khan Brothers from New Malden clocked a three year old on 1011ypm over 564 miles to take sixth open and third section E.

Mark Gilbert of Winkfield was seventh open and fourth section E with a yearling on 967ypm over 569 miles. Mark timed three yearlings on the second day and first on the clock was a grand-daughter of Kannibaal with the dam being a double grandchild of Euro Diamond.
Mr F Cornwell from Southend on Sea timed a two year old on 955.9ypm over 576 miles to take eighth open and second section P.
M Watson from Angmering was ninth open and second section A with a two year old on 955.2ypm over 525 miles.
Completing the top ten and in second section B is J Wilson from Portsmouth with a two year old on 952ypm over 528 miles.
Around the sections
Mike Staddon
Mike Staddon of Crewkerne was first section C with a four year old on 806ypm over 545 miles. Mike timed a dark chequer cock called Black King. Black King is a first cross Chris Gordon x Black Rico from The House of Aarden.
Bob Brown
The section D winner was Bob Brown of Plymouth with a three year old hen on 663ypm over a distance of 532 miles. Bob clocked the only bird in the section on the second day. His hen containing Stichelbaut bloodlines from Jim Emerson was raced on the natural system and sent sitting fourteen day eggs. The dam is a hen containing Busschaert bloodlines that Bob bought from Louella Stud.
Section F winner
Section F was won by R J Goddard and Son from Reading with a two year old hen on 648ypm over a distance of 571 miles. The section winner is a direct daughter of Sophie, the partner's Spanish diploma silver salver winner. The sire of this pigeon is on loan from John Arnold of South Wales and was bred by J Barnett and Daughter of Telford from the best of Cyril Bull's long distance family.
Wyatt and Gray of Bristol were first section G with a four year old cock on 308ypm over 583 miles. The sire of the section winner was bred by Dave Gowles of Street from his Reg Venner family of pigeons. The dam was bred for stock out of a cock that had flown Tarbes and Bordeaux on the day.
Brian & Angie Garnham
Brian and Angie Garnham from Boston were the section H winners with a two year old cock on 905ypm over 674 miles. Brian and Angie timed Ktulu, a cock sent paired to two hen with one sitting eight days and the other overdue to hatch and slipped chipping eggs the day before basketing. Ktulu was bred from stock that the partners aquired from Menne and Daughters, the sire being a son of Suzi x the dam of Pauline, whilst the dam is from a son of Smaragd x Diamantje.
Section I was won by Peter Slack of Stoke on Trent with a two year old on 844ypm over a distance of 680 miles. Peter clocked a dark chequer cock containing The House of Aarden Dark Husky bloodlines.
Martin Williams
Martin Williams of Hereford was the section J winner with a three year old cock on 754ypm over 621 miles. The section winner contains Sablon x Huybregt bloodlines crossed with a pigeon from Daniel Aerens which was a gift from Sheldon Leonard of Arklow. It was raced on the widowhood system.
D Thompson of Barnsley timed a two year old hen on 830ypm over 718 miles to take first section K. The section winner is a Van Wanroy bred by Bill Bresnahan of Liverpool, it being a grand-daughter of his 2008 section L winner.
Steven Parkinson of Crewe was first section L with a three year old hen on 739ypm over a distance of 692 miles. Steve's pigeon was bred from stock he obtained direct from the Padfield Family, the sire being a son of Iron Lady when paired to a daughter of Ffion.
Mark Sparey of Abertillery was the section W winner with a five year old on 900ypm over 606 miles. This is Mark's second section win of the season and the pigeon this time was bred from a Deweerdt cock that is a grandson of Mark Gilbert's Magnus. The dam is one of Mark's good racing hens.
