First east section and first open was won by Micky Watts from Southminster with a two year old on 1752mpm over 211 miles. Micky had had an excellent season in national racing having won first and second old hen with the National Flying Club the previous week. From Guernsey with the BICC he had three in quick succession, the first of which was a hen sent sitting eggs after being used as a widowhood hen earlier in the season. The same hen looks likely to be in the top ten of the result with the NFC. Micky flies a successful family of pigeons based around the Vandenabeele lines of M and D Evans, but this hen is not that way bred.

Mr & Mrs Chaplin
Mr and Mrs Chaplin on Woking timed a two year old on 1653mpm over 154 miles to take first centre section and second open. Mick and Lyn timed two hens on their fourth race of the season, having been widowhood hens prior to that. Once young bird racing starts, Mick pairs up the hens and trains them with the youngsters, getting them sitting prior to their first race. Both these hens contain the old bloodlines of Burgher and Wildermeersch with more recent introduction of some Jan Aardens.
Vic Emberson
Flying a distance of 163 miles, Vic Emberson of Banstead timed a six year old on 1639mpm to take second centre section and third open. Vic's hen was a Van Reet bred in 2009 and was retired to stock last season, but on handling her he thought her condition was good for the time of year so she was trained and then sent to Guernsey. With many prizes to its name over such a long racing career, this hen will now finally be retired to the stock loft.
Second east section and fourth open was a yearling on 1637mpm over 202 miles for P Price from Canterbury. Peter clocked a Ceuleman hen bred by Norman Sibley of Swineshead and sent feeding a four day old squeaker. During old bird racing this hen was first club from Bedhampton and then trained with the Wingham club in preparation for Guernsey.
T and N Hart of Cambridge clocked a three year old on 1325mpm over 222 miles to take first north-east section and fifth open. The Harts timed a Cattrysse hen which was second section from Guernsey last season. This hen was sent sitting fourteen day eggs.
George Burgess
G T Burgess from Wraysbury was third centre section and sixth open with a yearling on 1615mpm over 163 miles.
Fourth centre section and seventh open went to a two year old on 1605mpm over 145 miles for David Gash of Brighton.
P Stubbs of Redhill was fifth centre section and eighth open with a three year oldf on 1603.6mpm over 161 miles.
T McCoy and Son from London were sixth centre section and ninth open with a yearling on 1603mpm over 173 miles.
Derek Human
Completing the top ten and in seventh centre section is Derek Human from Petersfield with a two year old on 1591mpm over 124 miles. Derke's winner was a chequer hen from his old Cattrysse family and was bred in Cornwall by his son Adrian from their stock birds. A good long distance pigeon, this hen has scored from Pau and Bordeaux earlier in the season.
Around the sections
J & J Brady
J and J Brady of Benfleet were third centre section with a three year old on 1585mpm over 198 miles. The two Johns clocked a direct Jos Thoné pigeon, the sire of which is a son of Sumo, whilst the dam is a daughter of National 2.
Nyland Eileen
John Halstead from Kington Magna was first west section and forty-eighth open with a yearling on 1178mpm over 105 miles. John has now won the section for three races in a row with the BICC. From Guernsey he timed Nyland Eileen, a blue white flight hen sent sitting an eleven day old youngster. This pigeon was bred from two birds that John obtained from Crammond and Langstaff from Fontwell and containing their dual national winning Kees Bosua x Van Osche bloodlines.
John and David Staddon from Shepton Mallett were second west section with a three year old on 1124mpm. Father and son timed a hen containing Mark Gilbert's bloodlines and sent feeding a large youngster. The dam of this hen was a full brother to Southfield Melissa when paired to a Deweerdt hen.
Haines and Mustoe from Cheltenham timed a yearling on 817mpm to take third west section. Flown on a semi-widowhood system, this cock contains Luc Geerinkx bloodlines.
John Black
John Black from Hitchin was first north-centre section and eighteenth open with a yearling on 1526mpm over 203 miles. John's hen was sent feeding a ten day old squeaker. The dam of this hen is the bird that bred his Agen section winner and came from Terry Robinson of Goffs Oak. The sire was a gift bird from Bryan Cowan of Cheshunt and contains the best of Brian Sheppard x RM Venner and Trueman Dickens bloodlines.
Philip Dyer of Bedford timed a two year old on 1506mpm to take second north-centre section on 1506mpm. Philip's hen contains Soontjen x Van Reet x Busschaert bloodlines and was used as a widowhood hen earlier in the season.
William Blunt from Biggleswade was third north-centre section with a yearling on 1351mpm.
Bernie Wallman's pigeon
Bernie Wallman from Cambridge was second north-east section with a three year old on 1578mpm. Bernie timed a hen sent sitting ten day eggs. The sire of this pigeon is a Busschaert gifted to him by the late George Bates of Gravesend and bred from Little Rapido and Valentine bloodlines. The dam came from Bernie's old established family.
Mrs K Terry of Stowmarket was third north-east section with a yearling on 1558mpm. Kathy's hen was trained with the youngsters and flown to an open door. The bloodlines of this pigeon contain Willy Thas x Vanderheede that she obtained from her good friend Michael Betts of Doncaster.
Ray Scriven
First north-west section and forty-sixth open went to Ray Scriven from Alveley with a two year old on 1226mpm over 207 miles. Ray clocked a Cattrysse hen bred from birds obtained from Bill Price of Port Talbot and sent feeding a two day old squeaker.
Booth and Roper of Tewkesbury were second north-west section with a two year old on 1150mpm.
John Rodway of Worcester was third north-west section with a two year old on 1096mpm.
