Doug Grant
First open and first east section was clocked at the Pevensey Bay loft of Doug Grant. This blue hen was of Delbar x Janssen lines and was sent sitting eggs. She had previously been sixth club Messac and eighteenth club from Saintes.
J and J Brady
Second open and second east section went to J & J Brady from Benfleet. The partners clocked a Jos Thoné x Janssen hen named Zuni which has previously been sixth open from Carentan with the London and South East Classic Club and thirteenth open National Flying Club from Fougeres, this season.
The winning pigeon
Third open and third east section was won by Silent Lady, bred and raced by Lee Jackson of Bromley. Silent Lady is bred down from Lee's national winning family, her sire being Mr Inquisitive. She is a double granddaughter to Jos Thoné's ace breeder Sumo.
Meg Murray
Meg Murray from Burnham on Crouch clocked fourth open, fourth east section with a three year old blue hen bred by herself. Meg's pigeon is Soontjen x Staf Van Reet, the sire of which is grandsire to Meg's young bird winner. This cock was gifted to her by clubmate Lee Bastone and the dam is another Soontjen from his loft.
Rob Wilton and son
Rob Wilton and Son of Chadwell St Mary clocked fifth open. Their hen has King of the Faeroes lines on the sire's side and Keth Platt bloodlines on the dam's. She was sent sitting twelve day old youngsters and the previous week she was eighteenth open with the London and South East Classic club from Vire.
Packer and Clark
Derek Packer and Brian Clark timed in sixth open which was one of their M & D Evans Vandenabeeles. The partners don't compete at local club level but train their birds to seventy miles and then jump them across the channel with the national and specialist clubs.
David Coward-Talbot
David Coward-Talbot from Chelmsford took seventh open with a hen that has previously won second section, fourth open British International Championship Club from Tours in 2011. Her breeding has Musa Son on both the sire and dam's side, her sire being bred from Musa Son when paired to Pauline. Her dam was bred from Musa Son paired to a daughter of Vale Cahors.
Wise and Tilley
The Rochester partnership of Trevor Wise and Steve Tilley timed a blue Vandenabeele yearling hen to record eighth open. She was sent sitting a squeaker as she had been sitting eggs with another hen. Earlier in the season the same pigeon was thirty fourth open BICC Le Mans. She is bred from the partner's Tours winner.
Mr and Mrs Josch's pigeon
Mr and Mrs Josch of Hailsham timed a yearling blue hen to record ninth open. She is bred from a mixture of German and South African pigeons which the partners brought with them when they moved to the UK. This was the hen's seventh race of this season.
Completing the top ten is C Draper of Yalding.
Peter Gretton
In the centre section the winner went to Peter Gretton of Brighton. Peter's bird was a two year old bred from an O'Hare and Woodward Staf Van Reet cock, when paired to a hen from Danny Knapp. A full sister to this bird finished thirty fifth open in the Royal Pigeon Racing Association one loft race 2012 winning £225 for a local school's charity.
D Mitchell of Bray was second centre section with a two year old, chequer pied hen with Jimmy Richards x Martin Mitchell Van Hee bloodlines. She was raced on the natural system.
John Fretwell
In the west section the winner was clocked by John Fretwell of Evesham. John clocked four on the trot and the first in the clock is a pure Marcel Sangers bred from stock obtained direct. The second bird home is a Sangers x Koopman and the third is a full sister to the first.
Mr and Mrs Philip Harrod
The north section was won by Philip Harrod of Lowestoft with his hen named Putty's Pride. This is a four year old Vandenabeele which has performed consistently well across her racing career.
Roger Strowger
Mr and Mrs Strowger of Leiston were second north section with a little chequer hen bought from a charity auction in 2011. As a young bird she was raced on the darkness system and earlier in 2012 she was used as a widowhood hen before being re-paired, trained and then sent to Guernsey.
Finally the Ipswich loft of L Abrams and Sons clocked third north section. Len and his sons, Leonard and Michael timed a two year old Vandenabeele hen
The final race for the British International Championship Club is Guernsey (2) on the 8th September.
