Olympiad Pigeon collectors
The Van Toor Brothers had a flying start to the 2015 season: they went to the Budapest Olympiad with not one but two ace pigeons, and a first substitute as well. They represented The Netherlands with the following three pigeons:
1st Olympiad Pigeon Cat. B Budapest 2015 with Olympic Santa Ana 3rd Olympiad Pigeon Cat. F Budapest 2015 with Olympic Tamara 1st Substitute Olympiad Pigeon Cat. F. Budapest 2015 with Olympic Fenomenale
We take a brief look at each of these three pigeons:
Olympic Santa Ana
NL12-1599829 Olympic Santa Ana led the Dutch team in Category B (middle distance) in the Budapest Olympiad. In 2014 she belonged to the team of hens that Henk and Jan raced in widowhood. The two parents of Olympic Santa Ana originate directly from Leo Heremans. Her sire is BE10-6201658 Junior Olympiade, a son of Leo’s world famous Olympiade (Olympiad Pigeon Liévin 2003). The dam is the BE09-6269366 Venus, an outstanding breeder for the Van Toor brothers. She is a granddaughter of many illustrious Heremans pigeons, such as Olympiade, Dochter Jan, Nieuwe Rossi and Eenoogske. Venus is also the dam of Esmee (8th Nat. Sector 2 Ablis 8305 p.), Ozon (4th NPO Peronne 8092 p.) and Tara (15th NPO Ablis 5600 p.). Click here for the pedigree of Santa Ana.

Olympic Fenomenale
NL14-1042238 Olympic Fenomenale was first substitute in Category F in the Dutch selection for the Budapest Olympiad. He is a son of NL12-1599013 New Vegas, which is a daughter of stock pair Goliath x Las Vegas. Together with Home Run, the sire of Olympic Fenomenale NL11-1867924, she is part of a proven breeding pair with great potential. Top class breeder Home Run comes directly from the Braad-de-Joode combination (Woudrichem, NL). His sire is NL08-3829000 Balteasar (1st Creil 7072 p.), paired to NL10-3026451 Sister Leen, a daughter of Olympiad Pigeon NL05-0534554 Home Alone. Click here for the pedigree of Olympic Fenomenale.
Olympic de Fenomenale (Van Toor brothers - Vlaardingen, NL)
Olympic Tamara
NL14-1041396 Olympic Tamara was 3rd Dutch Olympiad Pigeon in Category F. The sire of Olympic Tamara is NL09-1126456 Prins, a son of stock pair Max x Nora van Jan Straver (Rotterdam, NL). The dam of Olympic Tamara is NL11-1724036 Alexia, which is in turn a granddaughter of the iconic Olympiade of Leo Heremans. Click here for the pedigree of Olympic Tamara.
Olympic de Fenomenale (Van Toor brothers (Vlaardingen, NL))
Olympic Tamara developed into a top class breeding hen as well. In 2015 she bred two daughters that really managed to excel in the NPO competition. One of them, NL15-1690901 Chiala, won a 3rd NPO Province 5 Rayon Midden against 3,498 pigeons.

Violetta
NL15-1690961 Violetta did even better than Chiala. Violetta won a 1st NPO Troyes Province 5 against 7,553 pigeons (she was also the fastest of 8,667 pigeons), and she won the title of 3rd Ace Pigeon Young Birds Rayon Midden Province 5. Click here for the pedigree of Violetta.
Glorious
And there is more. The invaluable pigeon Glorious with ring number NL15-1690953 managed to become 1st Ace Pigeon Champion Young Birds 2015 Rayon Midden in Province 5 (Southern Holland).
Her impressive list of achievements shows that she is quite an exceptional hen indeed:
17th NPO Pont-St.-Maxence 3,815 pigeons 18th NPO Nanteuil 4,794 pigeons 27th NPO Troyes 2,487 pigeons 27th NPO Sens 2,056 pigeons
When we take a closer look at the pedigree of this prize winner, we can conclude that the Van Toor Brothers are always looking for the best pigeons they can find. For instance, the sire of Glorious is none other than NL13-1221048 Churchill Jr. (a grandson Olympiade 003). Her dam is a granddaughter of Goede Rode of grandmaster Dirk van den Bulck (through Jos Cools). Click here for the full pedigree of Glorious.
The two brothers know very well that you can only achieve such impressive results with a team of top class pigeons. This is why they introduced an entire round of young birds from the Belgian grandmaster Stefaan Lambrechts in their breed in 2015.

This is a pedigree many fanciers can only dream of.
Can they repeat this season?
The two Van Toor brothers know what it takes to achieve great results, including most notably the title of 1st National Loft Champion Sprint in The Netherlands in 2013. We would not be surprised to see them win as much prizes in 2016, since 50% of their current racing team now consists of descendants of the oustanding fancier Stefaan Lambrechts. We will keep an eye on them and we will keep you up to date as well. For now, we would like to celebrate the Van Toor brothers on a marvellous 2015 season.
