Roziers-Xiang (Itegem, BE) excels again after his 1st National Bourges, this time with a 1st and 2nd National Zone B2 Chateauroux

Jelle Roziers and Green Xiang win three first prizes in three weeks' time, claiming a 1st Chevrainvilliers 2,575 youngsters, a 1st National Bourges 38,455 youngsters and a 1st & 2nd National Zone B2 Chateauroux 4,949 youngsters.

Jelle Roziers with his son Mil and Green Xiang

As most of you know, the Roziers-Xiang combination is one of the leading lofts in the young birds' competition. They have been able to excel in the most important races season after season, and they have now managed to win three first prizes in three weeks' time:

29/07 1st Chevrainvilliers 2,575 YBs (Union Antwerp), and fastest of 6,573 YBs
04/08 1st National Bourges 38,455 YBs
14/08 1st and 2nd National Zone B2 Chateauroux 4,949 YBs

And again we noticed the presence of the Queen L bloodline. Descendants of this world class breeding hen continue to win notable results in the lofts in Itegem. We take a closer look at the three pigeons that claimed a victory.

BE17-6037700, 1st Chevrainvilliers Union Antwerpen (2,575 p.)

On 29th of July racing bird 700 wins a 1st Chevrainvilliers in Union Antwerp against 2,575 pigeons (and the fastest of 6,573 YBs) over a distance of 353km. The sire of the 700 is Faithful Junior, a cock closely inbred to Queen L. He is not only the sire of the 1st Chevrainvilliers but of a 76th National Guéret 16,619 p. as well, and the grandfather of a 1st Noyon 2,366 p. The dam of the 700 is Alena Girl of J.L.N. Houben (Itegem, BE), and she is a daughter of Alena (1st Prov. Ace Pigeon). Click here for the full pedigree of the 700.

The sire of the 1st Chevrainvilliers

BE17-6037540 Gust, 1st National Bourges 38,455 p.

One week after Chevrainvilliers we had the national race from Bourges, where racing bird Gust claimed a glorious first prize. His sire was closely inbred to Queen L, Jelle and Green's number one stock dam. Click here to reread our race report.

Sire of 1st National Bourges

BE17-6037517 New Queen L, 1st National Zone B2 Chateauroux 4,949 p.

The last big victory so far came on 14th of August in Chateauroux, where the team did particularly well:

Chateauroux Zone B2 4,949 p.: 1-2-9-10-13-17-18-26-27-28-31-35-37-47-64-90-91-etc.
            Nat. 18,495 p.: 13-14-95-100-107-124-125-178-183-187-206-213-236-306-392-497-498-etc.

Queen L plays a vital role in this pedigree as well: the dam of the zonal winner New Queen L, Juneau, is again inbred to breeding bird Queen L. Click here for New Queen L's pedigree.

In addition, the team won a 2nd Zone B2 in that same race with racing bird BE17-6230797, which was bred by Peter van Grombruggen (Nijlen, BE). Click here for the pedigree of the 797.

BE04-6277729 Queen L, a top class breeder

Each of these three first prize winners is related to that same Queen L, which makes her without doubt one of the most valuable breeding birds of this decade. Queen L won a 1st National La Souterraine back in 2004. Racing birds Illinois (2nd National Bourges 2016), Seven Junior (2nd National Ace Pigeon KBDB Longer Middle Distance YBs 2016) and Tampa (7th National Ace Pigeon KBDB Longer Middle Distance YBs 2016) are just a few of many talented descendants of this exceptional breeder.
