In order to guarantee the health of the pigeons, with quarantine, vaccination, and creation of immunity groups, the reception of the pigeons will be organised in:

- April- days 1 to 15.
- May- days 1 to 31.

Year after year the Golden Race Algarve has been asserting itself in the world of One Loft Races, and increasing the number of pigeons and participants, despite the restrictions imposed by the EU on the entry of pigeons into Europe.
Well organised, taking good care of the pigeons, with innovative methods, good people working in the loft, all of them fanciers, the Loft Manager being a pigeon fancier for over 30 years, because only with the best can you get the best, and above all 2 weeks after the final race paying all the requested prizes, and for the magnificent place where we are located, Monte Gordo, Algarve, Portugal, one of the best tourist destinations in the world.
In this way, we combine business with pleasure, and all participants can bring the family at the end of September and enjoy the race, the beach, the bars and restaurants of Monte Gordo, and the excellent hotels, and especially Monte Gordo became at that end of final race week, the world pigeon racing center, (in recent years around 4,000 people have visited us), where pigeon fanciers from all over the world come together for business opportunities, annual meeting of many friends and holidays.
This is the presentation of the Algarve Golden Race- Million Euro Pigeon Race 2023, where more than 7,000 pigeons are expected, with the winner final race winning € 150,000, with Ace Pigeon winning € 50.000 and semifinal winner € 50.000 too, and 3 cars in first 3 Hotsopts who all pigeons entered in loft, activated and reserve can win, without needing to activate the reserve pigeons, and more than 900 prizes up for grabs, with an entry fee of € 1000 per team of 5 pigeons (two paid pigeons), and activation's reserve pigeons only to semifinal and final , € 500 per pigeon.
