Combination Derksen van de Keuken (Almelo, NL), are once again present at the Olympiad in Romania `22

In 2014 brothers-in-law Anthony and Edwin joined hands and started racing in combination after getting in touch with the pigeon sport. That this combination can be considered extremely successful has been widely known for years. Many Olympic PIgeons, Nat. Ace Pigeons and Nat./NPO victories have been confirming this for years. The foundation of all this success can be found at the start of their loft when they bought a number of pigeons from the very best of the best of the Dutch pigeon sport. NL19-1298802 Olympic Mason

Olympic Mason won in the last year the NPO Race Sermaises of Sector 9 against an incredible 6.702 pigeons over a distance of 552 km. A week after his victory at Sermaises he grabbed another top prize with a 6th Nanteuil against 2.658 pigeons on the weekend of the 29th of May. It should be noted that the 2nd place of the NPO-race Sermaises (6.702 p) is a full sister of Olympic Mason. Olympic Mason earned 3 nominations for the Olympiad`22 in Romania with several beautiful performances. These nominations and several impressive achievements of Olympic Mason can be viewed below:

If we look at his pedigree we can see that his father is a 100% Verkerk-pigeon (from Goofy x Feline and Contador x Benita). Grandfather is the NL14-1059795 (son Goofy x Feline), who is not only the grandfather of Olympic Mason, but also the father of Olympic Mayra ( 1st Cat Grown up and 2nd Cat. Long distance).

The mother of Olympic Mason is a daughter of Golden Angel who was exceptional not only on the races but also as a breeder. Golden Angel achieved 1st place three times and was also the 6th Nat. Olympic Pigeon Allround Brussel `17 Several performances of her and her (grand)children are:

In a spectacular sale of Anthony and Edwin this year they sold all their best breeding-& racing pigeons of 2018 and older. This auction at PIPA was a massive success with a.o. The 2nd most expensive dutch pigeon ever sold (Son Olympic Solange). The highlights of this auction were a.o.:

Especially descendents of Son Olympic Solange and Olympic Madison can be found again and again in the pedigrees of the current greats. For example a hen (NL19-393) won this year a 1st Burdinne (4.173 p), 3rd Burdinne (7.923 p) and a 3rd Beek en Donk (3.689 p). She is a daughter of Madison 4.0, thus a granddaughter of Olympic Solange x Olympic Madison. Another yearling hen (NL20-373) won the 1st Quievrain (4.012 p) and also the 9th Beek en Donk (3.772 p). Once again it is no mystery where the talent comes from, as she too is a granddaughter of Olympic Madison

Son Olympic Solange and Olympic Madison have been a treasure of unmeasurable value as a breeding couple at the lofts in Amela. Son Olympic Solange comes from two topbreeders of G & S Verkerk. In particular Olympic Solange, the mother of Son Olympic Solange is a bird engraved in everyone’s memory. She won a.o. NPO races from Argenton and Vierzon, was crowned in 2008 as 1st National Ace Pigeon in the national competition WHZB, and was Olympic Pigeon in the year 2009. It is no surprise then that her son has become a top breeder at Comb. Derksen v/d Keuken. Olympic Madison won a.o. A competition from Tongeren against 2739 pigeons and achieved 2nd National Olympic Pigeon Cat. G. at the Olympiad of Boedapest `15. She left her mark on the breeding loft. When Anthony and Edwin formed the combination in 2014 they chose the fastest path to success.
