Nearly everything has been said what there is to say about the successes of Jos en Lars Vercammen. They are known for continuously performing at the highest level throughout the season on different disciplines. A strong team and strict selection in combination with golden genes from stock pigeons Elektro, Mustang and the new breeding revelation Iron Man have led to the most unbelievable results. A perfect example is the race from Melun on 29th August 2021. It was ideal weather for Vercammen pigeons, a strong headwind from start to finish made it a tough race. The young Vercammen pigeons powered home to Vremde and blasted the competition away with the first 21 (!!) prizes against more than 1200 pigeons. Remarkably, all 21 first pigeons have Elektro blood running through their veins, and a large part also that of Mustang. The impressively high price percentages are also a Hok Jos Vercammen trademark...

This year alone she won i.a. 1st Prov. Bourges (479 km) against 9,041 p., 2nd Nat. Zone against 4,313 p. and 60th Nat. against 34,311 p. This hen (granddaughter Elektro and Mustang) stops at nothing as later in the season she flew 1st Nat. Zone Chateauroux (526 km) against 2,650 p., 1st Prov. against 2,280 p. and 6th Nat. against 7,099 p. She had a 7 minute lead on the provincial and zonal runner-up. Conditions on both races were extremely tough...

She started the season off with a 2nd place on Melun (310 km) against 1670 pigeons behind a loft mate, more than enough to be crowned 1st Ace pigeon Heavy Middle Distance Fondclub St. Job and 2nd Provincial Ace pigeon Fondclub Antwerpen.

Last but not least and more than worthy of mentioning is top hen Maété (BE21-6138246). She was victorious on the extremely hard Melun (310km) with headwind and even mist and darkness in the final kilometers, finishing 1st of the entire province against 6017 pigeons. A week prior she already took a beautiful 4th place on Melun against 1202 pigeons (behind 3 loft mates). This too was no easy race. Maété is a daughter to 2 excellent racers, Golden Elektro (BE19-6016058) and Panda (BE19-6016017), who have both been transferred to the breeding lofts...
