Auction weekend ends with 392,000 euro – Jewels Hyper Exclusive 6,000 euro/bird

Ten auctions closed today, raising 392,175 euro in total, or more than 2,700 euro per pigeon.

Noé De Coster – 6 pigeons – 2,258 euro/bird
Noé De Coster sold six pigeons, including a youngster of Golden Prince, two racing birds and three youngsters. The 6 pigeons raised 13,550 euro in total. The most expensive bird was a daughter of Golden Prince, which was sold for 8,200 euro. The 6 pigeons are going to Belgium (3), Japan (1), Norway (1), and China (1).

Derek Rooney – 12 pigeons – 1,767 euro/bird
A fantastic collection of youngsters were put up for auction. Derek Rooney had obtained a daughter of Golden Prince in Gino Clicque's total auction in march 2017, and she is already the dam of First Lady, 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB Longer Middle Distance 2018. A youngster of this hen was sale 1, which was sold for 3,000 euro. But the most expensive pigeon was sale 5, a youngster from son x daughter Harry, with a sale price of 3,200 euro. The 12 youngsters raised 21,200 euro in total, and they will be moving to Taiwan (6), USA (2), China (2), Germany (1), and Japan (1).

Jos & Jan Loobuyck – 8 pigeons – 1,159 euro/bird
The eye-catcher in this auction of father and son Loobuyck was sale 1, top class racing bird De Rudy, which was sold for 2,600 euro. The 8 pigeons were sold for 9,275 euro in total, to fanciers from Belgium (5), China (2) and the United Kingdom (1).

Kas & Karel Meijers – 12 pigeons – 1,258 euro/bird
One of the best Olympiad Pigeons in The Netherlands over the past two years is Olympic Nicole of Kas & Karel Meijers. They offered for sale a selection of her brothers/sisters/youngsters, along with a few old birds. The most expensive pigeon is a youngster of Den Ad, which was sold for 2,200 euro. The most expensive youngster is a daughter of Olympic Nicole, which raised 1,800 euro. The 12 pigeons were sold for 15,100 euro, to fanciers from China (4), France (4), Germany (1), the United Kingdom (1), Bangladesh (1) and Morocco (1).

January Auction – 16 pigeons – 1,969 euro/bird
We put up for auction a few pigeons from previous auctions that had not been paid for. The most expensive of them is a pigeon of Gerard & Bas Verkerk bred from Goofy x Fantasy; it was sold for 6,600 euro. The 16 pigeons raised 31,500 euro, and will be transferred to Taiwan (4), China (3), Belgium (2), Germany (1), the United Kingdom (1), Japan (1), Kuwait (1), The Netherlands (1), Qatar (1), and the USA (1).

Etienne Meirlaen – 17 pigeons – 2,553 euro/bird
Etienne Meirlaen sold 17 young birds from his best breeders after another excellent racing season. They were sold for 43,400 euro in total, and the most expensive of them, a youngster of Montali, raised 5,800 euro. The 17 youngsters were sold to fanciers from Belgium (6), Taiwan (3), the United Kingdom (3), France (2), Germany (1), Japan (1), and the USA (1).

Rudi De Saer – 11 pigeons – 2,605 euro/bird
Rudi De Saer's number one stock breeder is breeding hen 't Goedje from 2005. In fact, almost all of his best birds from the last 15 years are related to her, which is why we organised an auction dedicated to this hen; a 't Goedje Special. The most expensive bird (7,600 euro) was unsurprisingly Sale 1, a youngster of New Tours paired to his grandmother 't Goedje. The second most expensive pigeon was a youngster of Antonio, with a sale price of 5,000 euro. The 11 youngsters raised 28,650 euro in total, and they are moving to China (5), Poland (2), Belgium (2), and Taiwan (2).

Pieter Veenstra – 25 pigeons – 2,188 euro/bird
Pieter Veenstra's auction, in which he sold 25 young birds from his best breeders, was a major success indeed, even though he he organised a major sale just last year. He sold his pigeons for 54,700 euro, and the most expensive of them is a full brother of Return Flojo, one of the best pigeons in the Million Dollar Race over the past ten years. This youngster was sold for 5,600 euro. The pigeons are moving to Taiwan (8), China (4), Belgium (3), Germany (2), The Philippines (2), the USA (2), Qatar (1), The Netherlands (1), Kuwait (1), and Canada (1).

Verweij – De Haan – 14 pigeons – 2,257 euro/bird
Verweij De Haan had a very successful auction as well, with 14 young birds being sold for 31,600 euro in total. The most expensive pigeons were two wonderful youngsters of stock breeder Milos, sold for 6,400 euro each. The pigeons are moving to Taiwan (3), Romania (3), The Netherlands (3), the United Kingdom (2), Belgium (2) and Germany (1).

Jewels of the Sky – Hyper Exclusive – 24 pigeons – 5,967 euro/bird
In this auction we had one fancier selling one very exclusive youngster each, to try and spread some unique bloodlines across other lofts. The most expensive bird was sale 1 of Pieter Veenstra; he sold his youngster of Miss Overegge for an astounding 20,500 euro. The second most expensive pigeon is a daughter of New Laureaat, which raised 17,800 euro, and the third most expensive bird was a youngster of Harry, sold for 16,600 euro. The 24 pigeons were sold for 143,200 euro in total, to fanciers from ten different countries: China (8), Taiwan (5), The Netherlands (4), Belgium (1), Germany (1), France (1), Ireland (1), Kuwait (1), the USA (1), and South Africa (1).
