A few weeks ago we reported about Koen Minderhoud's impressive results in the race from Peronne, where he won a 1-2-3-4 against 1,398 pigeons. In this race no less than seven youngsters of his renowned Geeloger finished in the top-34, including his first prize winner. Click here to reread our report. Over the course of the next two weeks Koen managed to add two more first prizes to his list of achievements:
1st Peronne (178 km) 1,398 p. 1st Roye (205 km) 1,489 p. 1st Pont-St.-Maxence (252 km) 1,799 p.
The first prizes from Peronne and Pont-St.-Maxence were both won by Max (NL13-3307621), while the first prize from Roye was won by the one year old NL15-3506915. They are both children of Geeloger, and we will take a closer look at both of them.

This son of De Geeloger x Blauw Roodoogje is well on his way to becoming one of Koen's next champions. Click here for the pedigree of Max. He is a late youngster of 2013, and he only did a number of training races in 2014. He was basketed 9 times in 2015, and he did reasonably well. He is also a son of Geeloger, which was paired to NL06-1137725. The 725 is a full sister of the 017, which is the sire of the exceptional racing bird 170. Click here for the full pedigree of the NL15-3506915.
Looking forward to the one-day long distance with confidence
The one-day long distance season kicks off in the next few weeks, and this happens to be Koen's favourite discipline. His current results should give him plenty of confidence for the upcoming races. His pigeons have shown over the years that they are particularly suited for the one day long distance, and so we expect Geeloger's offspring to win a good number of early prizes this season.
