From left to right: Ivan Willockx, Patrick Van den Abbeel and Eddy Noël
Eddy Noël and Ivan Willockx agreed to start working together in 2013, and this was the start of Breeding Loft Team Noël-Willockx. It was a great combination right from the start. In their first season they bred Angelleke, 15th Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB longer middle distance young birds 2013 (raced from the lofts of Muylder-Noël-Demul) and they did even better in 2014 with Eddy’s Ace, winner of the title of 3rd Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB long distance yearlings 2014 (raced from the lofts of Ariën-De Keyser). In their first year they only bred pigeons, which were then raced in other lofts. Their pigeons were raced by Patrick Van den Abbeel, who proved the perfect man to put their pigeons to the test in his loft in Lebbeke. Patrick and his wife Ilse are responsible for the daily caretaking, and together they follow Eddy’s guidelines. Ivan takes care of administrative tasks. It shows that great teamwork leads to excellent results.

Goliath, 3rd PIPA Ranking long distance yearlings with 3 prizes
Their team of yearlings did great as well, especially in the long distance. A good example is Goliath BE14-6228825, which finished in third place in the prestigious PIPA ranking long distance with three prizes. Goliath won the following prizes in 2015:
Brive (676 km) Prov. 3-2.336 11/07/2015 Nat. 22-9.049 Jarnac (665 km) Prov. 19-802 18/07/2015 Nat. 103-4.559 Tulle (630 km) Prov. 34-1.998 25/07/2015 Nat. 219-8.621 Pont (218 km) Club 2-374 Club 5-309
The dam of Goliath is Provincial Celine, which won a 1st Prov. Bourges. She originates from the very best lines of De Rauw-Sablon & Aelbrecht: De Limoges, Dreampair Albert x Paola, De Marseille, Het Fijn Blauw, etc. The sire of Goliath is Den Ouden Ring, an inbred cock to Stock Cock 118. The pigeon family
This team’s stock cock 118 was mentioned earlier on in this article, and he is one of the key elements in the Van den Abbeel-Noël-Willockx pigeon breed, being a direct Santens brothers (Oudenaarde). He was paired to the 911-hen (R&X Verstraete), with which he bred first prize winners over no less than seven generations. The fanciers spare no expense when it comes to reinforcing their breed. The following bloodlines have been paired to this successful stock pair:
Gaston Van de Wouwer
PIPA Elite Center – New Freddy
Bart & Jurgen Geerinckx
JLN Houben
Gaby Vandenabeele
Marcel Aelbrecht
P & J Roziers
Rudi De Saer
Verreckt-Ariën
J & J Engels
We wonder what else the 2015 season holds in store for the team of Van den Abbeel-Noël-Willockx.
