The racing team of Kris Cleirbaut and Louis Van Riet is ready for the new season. The successful combination from Bonheiden in Antwerp took an impressive double victory in the first flight of Union Antwerp, often called the Pigeon Racing Academy. They managed to win a first prize against 990 old birds with 'Prima Donna' BE12-6210636, which completed 291km with a velocity of 1195m/min. Their result in the yearlings’ race was even more impressive, with a first prize for 'Iron Lady' BE13-6233730 (with a velocity of 1199m/min) and a second prize for 'Blue Lightning' BE13-6233852 against 1186 yearlings.

Iron Lady, not only the fastest yearling but also the fastest of the entire pack of pigeons, is a 100% Wouters pigeon. Her sire is Gaston, winner of a 7th interprov. Issoudun against 5,848 pigeons. Gaston was bred from a grandson of Kaasboer, paired to a daughter of Rambo x Sabrina of Theo Yskout. The dam of Iron Lady is Golden Hen, also a direct Van de Wouwer pigeon, and a full sister of Serena, 1st Nat. Zone Poitiers 2013. Golden Hen is a granddaughter of Kaasboer x Geerinckx-duivin. Blue Lightning, winner of a second prize in the yearlings’ race, is a half brother of Miss Blue, the 1st Nat. Argenton 2011. The dam of the two brothers is Beauty Gaston, also a direct Van de Wouwer pigeon; a half sister of Kim. She was bred from a son of Kaasboer 240-03 x Dochter Goldwin (Johan De Belser), which is a nest sister of the grandfather of Palme d’Or, the dam of Amalia & Nikolaas of Casaert-Senechal, two first Nat. Winner of the old birds’ race Prima Donna is a 100% Constant Nuyts pigeon and a good example of a true champion. She had won a first prize from Angerville earlier on, as well as the following prizes:
