The National winner Belgium from Brive in the category "old birds" is Hebberecht Johan (Drongen). The pigeon was clocked on Sunday at 15:49:42 CEST after a race of 673.812 km, achieving an average velocity of 1272.06 m/min.
These are the preliminary results of the PIPA ranking for best Belgian pigeon in all international races with 2 prizes. This ranking includes the races from Pau, Agen, Barcelona, St.Vincent, Marseille taking into account the national results available.
The pigeons from Brussegem really dominated the national long distance classic of Limoges II, winning the first four provincial prizes yearlings, as well as claiming the provincial first prize old birds.
Twenty-seven members sent ninety-seven pigeons to the British International Championship Club race from Marseille, held in conjunction with the international. They were liberated at 05.45CEST on the 15th July 2016. The following is a report on the provisional result based on members' verifications.
The Vandenheede pigeons were once again unbeatable in the weekend of 9 July: they won a total of 5 first prizes in the club from Limoges (olds and yearlings), Argenton (olds and yearlings), and Orleans (young birds). They achieved great results at national level as well, with no less than 24 pigeons finishing in the national top-100. This is quite an achievement!
Four hundred and thirty-three members entered Three thousand, nine hundred and forty-seven birds into the British International Championship Club race from Le Mans. They were liberated at 05.45CEST on 16th July 2016, into a light south-westerly wind. The following is a report on the provisional result based on members' verifications.
Team Verkerk had their mind set on the national race from Chateauroux, and so their pigeons were in top form for this race. They eventually won a 1st, 3rd, and 4th in Sector 2 against 14,602 pigeons, as well as a 2nd, 4th and 5th overall against 47,453 pigeons. This is yet another brilliant performance from the Verkerk pigeon family.
