Graag kondigen we u de ‘kijkdag’ aan omtrent de totale verkoop van de kolonie van tweevoudig "Keizer van de Brabantse Unie", "Mister Marseille" met name Robert Van Eycken uit Erps-Kwerps! Om zich een beter beeld te kunnen vormen van bepaalde van deze klasrijke duiven, hebben we ook hier voor u een ‘kijkdag’ georganiseerd.

Na een maandje nieuwjaarsrust zijn we op 6 februari weer present… En of er wat te vertellen is! Het verkoop seizoen is fenomenaal: onlineverkopen verbreken record na record en ook offline gaan duiven vlot van de hand.

We vernamen het overlijden van de heer Marcel Nolmans (85), vader van duivenliefhebber en medewerker van de firma Bricon, de heer Francis Nolmans.

(04/02/2012) De jeugd is een stuk toekomst van onze duivensport! Wie is bereid hen te helpen?
Kinderen van jongsaf aan in contact brengen met duiven, in de hoop er enkele nieuwe 'duivenliefhebbertjes' in te ontdekken voor de toekomst van onze sport... het werkt. Dat bewees juf Suzy reeds met haar 'Ichtor-hokje' te Ichtegem in België. Ook vanuit Nederland bereikten ons positieve signalen. Initiatieven die ons aller steun moeten genieten!
(03/02/2012) Duivendiefstal bij Willy Anquinet (Oetingen, BE).
In de nacht van woensdag op donderdag kreeg Willy Anquinet(74) uit Oetingen duivendieven over de vloer. Zijn beste duif… de ‘Zwarten van 2007’… werd gestolen, een andere topper raakte gewond.

Volgende week vrijdag 10 februari om 19u30 uur doet het nieuwe ‘nationale bestuur’ zijn intrede, met als belangrijkste punt op de agenda uiteraard de verkiezing van de nieuwe ‘nationale voorzitter’ en de ‘nationale raad van beheer en bestuur’.

Het provinciaal comité, in vergadering op 1 februari 2012 besliste conform art. 19 van het huishoudelijk reglement om een wijziging aan te brengen aan art. 24 van het provinciaal sportreglement 2012.

Het is inmiddels een vaste prik. De kijkdag bij Gerard Koopman en zijn team zal ook dit jaar weer (i.s.m. PIPA) georganiseerd worden. Net als vorig jaar verwachten wij dat het een drukbezocht succes wordt waar iedereen welkom is om te kijken hoe het er daar in Ermerveen aan toe gaat.

(02/02/2012) Dutch and Danish pigeons also successful in the Sun City Million Dollar Pigeon Race 2012
Next to the German pigeons, the Dutch and Danish ones also performed well in the 16th Sun City MDPR. The best Dutch pigeon, Sundream Wirramira' (Combination Wolfsen - de Ridder from Asperen) finished tenth. In addition, Gerard Koopman's pigeons catched the eye with 4 top 100 prizes (17-22-29-65). Hans & Evert-Jan Eijerkamp also drew attention by finishing 27th, 76th and 77th. The first two Danish pigeons, from Kaj & Michael and Henrik Meldgaard, ended 7th and 15th.

Over the last few days our pigeon sport has been in the ‘spotlights’ in almmost all the media. The reason being the record proceeds for pigeon auctions by PIPA! Newspapers, magazines, radio and TV… it escaped nobody… the new ‘records’ reached the ‘headlines’ everywhere.

We vernemen het overlijden van de heer Fons van Ophuizen, een heel bekend figuur in duivenmiddens. Hij overleed deze ochtend op 73-jarige leeftijd aan een ziekte. Begin januari hield hij nog een toespraak op de Sterrenshow van de ZLU.

Today the auction of Pieter Veenstra ended, in which yesterday the record for the most expensive pigeon ever was broken with 250.400 EURO. Today an even more prestigious record has been added, namely that of the most expensive total auction ever!

Bij een duivenliefhebber in de Dendermondse deelgemeente Appels heeft het Federaal Agentschap voor Voedselveiligheid pseudovogelpest vastgesteld.
(27/01/2012) Pieter Veenstra total auction (except late yb 2011) ends this weekend
One of the best colonies of all-round pigeons that can be found in Europe at the moment, then we are talking about Pieter Veenstra. All his birds are now in this total auction, with exception of late youngsters 2011 and 4 birds in BIS (below more info on that). In this auction no less than 5 different 1st National Acepigeon WHZB and 4 different Olympiad birds, all descending from 2 basic birds 'Mr. Blue' and 'Dirky'.
