It was the turn of the threesome consisting of Yvan Bataille, André Devoldere and Willem Deprez.
This loft is in good form at the moment….The fact that the youngsters have won 8 x 1st in just five weeks indicates a super condition….The “Raf” profited from this and beat the entire group of West-Flemish pigeons which consisted of 3459 pigeons. In the Fondclub in Rekkem he is 1st against 525p and national he achieves a marvellous 7th place against 37357 contemporaries. He finished the, for him, 423 km long race with an average velocity of 1271,62 m and was basketted as 2nd nominated for Bourges.
The “Raf” previously won a 3rd prize from Toury 151p, a 30th prize from Orléans 336p and then the above mentioned performance from Bourges.
By Bataille – Devolder-Deprez the youngsters are raced with the sliding door system…..Up to and including 2003 they raced under the name Bataille –Devolder from Vichte, in 2004 Willem Deprez joined the team…..Meanwhile they can look back on a very nice honours list, whereby we can conclude that this recent provincial victory is no coincidence…
In ’98 for example, they won 1st prov from Blois against 2283 youngsters, it was a season in which they ( then only Yvan and André) performed formidably . In 2004 they again won the 1st prov. from Blois, in 2005 the 1st prov. from Tours and in that same season the 3rd prov. Bourges yearlings. In 2006 they won 1st prov Bourges youngsters….in 2010 once again the 1st prov. Bourges youngsters.
