ジョン&ヤン・ベク - ブラッススガート(ベルギー)、驚異の雌鳩「ベラ」オリンピアードオールラウンド!

In the Spring of 2011 John & Jan Baeck represented our country in Poznan in the ‘Olympiad’ with wonder hen ‘Bella’… in the category ‘All Round’!

John & Jan Baeck discovered better than anybody that the  breeding loft is the ‘beating heart’ of a pigeon colony… which via the necessary blood supply has to ensure successes in the pigeon sport. That’s why in the beginning they went in search of strong racing lofts, to search for reinforcements for their best couples… the descendants were rigorously selected in Brasschaat. Whatever remained could be used to build up the stock. They firstly left for Stan & Ronny Denisse from Kapellen… 1° prize winners were bred from these pigeons for the sprint to 500 Km. In the middle of the nineties they went to Putte to visit Jos & Jules Engels, where no less than 10 direct children were bought from the breeding legend ‘231’ (7 were ‘supers’ in breeding), in addition to 5 children out ‘Den Dikke’ (from which 3 new ‘breeding toppers’ were bred). Top successes were soon achieved… the Baeck colony could hold its own between the grand middle distance toppers, even at national level! The ‘Sprinterke 984/04’ from Eric Berckmoes also played a part in this. Searching by the real toppers for the best of what there is in the breeding loft is and remains the motto in Brasschaat!

In that respect the colony of Verreckt-Ariën was also visited and 10 pigeons were bought… including one of the current breeding toppers, the ‘Wellustige Armstrong’… the father of ‘olympiadeduif Bella’… a hen out the line of breeding legend ‘Armstrong’ by Verreckt-Ariën! This ‘racing wonder’ brought the following triumphs back to Brasschaat, raced according to the system of ‘total widowhood’:

She is a daughter of ‘Wellustige Armstrong’ x ‘Ademloos’ (hen out the ‘Highlander line)… a coupling with 4 classy grandparents!

Father: The ‘Wellustige Armstrong’BE07-5195063… A direct Verreckt-Ariën out star breeder ‘Armstrong’, self 1° Nat Ace bird Ave Regina (and self father of various 1° Prov winners, and grandfather of 3 Olympiad birds… ‘Bella’, ‘Olympic Wacko’ and ‘Argentully’… and grandson of the ‘Golden Pair’ Verreckt-Ariën ‘Dikke Lowet’ x ‘Lang Lowet’) x ‘Camilla’ (a half-sister of the ‘Fenomenale’ from Camiel Nulens… a super crack which was 1° Nat Ace bird KBDB 2002, and won self no less than 3 x 1° Provincial!).

Mother: ‘Ademloos’ BE08-6037385… she makes you breathless when you get hold of this classy hen! She is a daughter of the ‘Wreker’ (a son of the ‘Highlander’… 2° reserve Olympiad Blackpool, and father of more than 20 direct children which self raced ‘top’, or bred ‘top racers’) x the ‘Mooi 459/00’, mother of 1° prize winners, and an in line bred granddaughter of the famous ‘231’ Engels (daughter of the ‘Jakhals’, winner a.o. 1° Prov Chateauroux 3.198 p., 1° Dourdan 1.309 p… and father of 5 different 1° Prize racers… x ‘Loyaal’, daughter ‘231’ Engels).

Going in search of real toppers, testing them thoroughly in the races… and trying to anchor the very best into the stock! So was the basis laid in Brasschaat to illustrious successes, seasoned with a cartload of magnificent victories… even at provincial level. All the rest is for people who believe in fairy tales, it is very clear! Top pigeons and selecting… that’s what the pigeon sport is all about!  A strategy which isn’t only of paramount importance to John and Jan Baeck, but which has also allowed them to join the circle of ‘grand middle distance toppers’ of our country… with wonder hen ‘Bella’ as living proof, as the current standard-bearer of the loft!
