サンシティーミリオンダラーレース・ホットスポット1、「英国人は努力の報いを持ち帰ります」自動車獲得!

Yes it’s great news as once again the Union Jack was flying high and proud after the South African ‘Million Dollar One Loft race’ from Hot Spot 1 race on the 26th November. The race was flown from a distance of nearly 122 Miles released in no wind weather conditions. The fairest of pigeon race winds.

A game hen entered by Neville & Angie Evans and brother in law Steve Cuthbert was the 1st was the victor timed from an entry of 4,464 birds entered by fanciers from approximately 30 competing countries. This partnership have also flown very successfully in previous ‘Sun City’ races unlike “Burtoft Babe” who trapped 11th Open, when infact she were the 6th bird back. This time though Burntoft Sydnnee have really hit the ‘Jackpot’ as not only will they collect a nice cash prize with 1st Open but also won the Motor Car.

won by Burntoft Sydnee for the N+A Evans and Cuthbert syndicate on the first Hot Spot Car Race

The UK lofts actually had a superb first race with ‘Graham’s Choice’ entered by Guys Lofts and  ‘Plutology’ from the ‘Manchester Maestros’ loft finishing in 5th and 12th places respectively. This is further evidence that the U.K. birds are starting to make a real impact on this prestigious race series.

The Evans’ & Cuthbert entry is named  ‘Burntoft Sydnee’ and she was certainly bred for the job as her Sire ‘Sid’s Delight’ also bred ‘Burntoft Babe’ which in 2010 was 2 times 1st U.K bird in the build up races and finished 1st U.K and 11th Open in the Million Dollar final. ‘Sid’s Delight’ himself won 4 x 1st prizes and is a direct son of ‘5454’ the absolute father of the loft and this fantastic producer is from stock from Cor Leijtens famous Janssen based lofts. ‘Sid’s Delight’ was also father of the Evans’ best racer in 2008 which won £3000 in Breeder Buyer and Gold Ring races and a cock which this year won 1st club and Federation and 26th Open U.N.C. from Lillers a distance of 323 miles from 10,352 entries.

The dam of ‘Sydnee’ is a six year old ‘De Klak’ Janssen which has been a wonderful racer and was Best Old Bird in the Section 1 of the Up North Combine in 2007 and won 15th Open U.N.C. from Lillers against over 12,000 pigeons.

It is clear to see that the Burntoft lofts have class pigeons and are well worth watching out for over the next few weeks in Sun City and maybe they will help to keep the Union Jack flying proudly in South Africa. Pieter Oberholster UK representative for PIPA & SCMDPR manage catch up with Evans partnership on Tuesday 6 December to deliver their new car as the partnership is flying to CHENGDU - China on 7th December to attend Chengdu show.
