エドウィン・ホーフランド - オルデブルク（オランダ）、小さなコロニーで大活躍！

Edwin lives with his wife Gerlinda and their three children in the municipality Oldebroek and he works as a civil servant in the municipality Elburg. Despite the room available, Edwin has chosen a relatively small loft, but from which the quality is very high. The pigeons are raced every week, but the emphasis lies on the 1-day long distance and the races for the youngsters. Better known in the Netherlands as the NPO-races.

12 to 14 old birds are raced per race. In the races for the youngsters Edwin tries to have about 50 youngsters at the start. The pigeons mainly come from the comb. Verbree, Gert-Jan Timmer and Marcel Sangers.

70% of the pigeons come from the comb. Verbree. Vooral in crossing with the pigeons from G-J Timmer, produces very good performance birds. A very good example of this is “Olympic Laureen”. Her father is “de Perfecte” from G-J Timmer and her mother is “Renate” from the comb. Verbree.

“Olympic Laureen” is a full sister of ‘Suarez’, the 1st Ace bird youngsters and 1st Ace bird extreme middle distance in his club and already father of “Amy”. She won the 1st NPO Orleans 2009 against 15.500 pigeons.

Another figurehead from Edwin is “Rihanna”. She was bred out his top breeding couple “Zigo jr “ x “Ireen”. “Zigo jr”is one of the last sons of Olymiad bird  “Zigo” from the comb. Verbree. He was paired with “Geralda”, daughter of “Kleine Dirk”. “Ireen” comes out the golden Verbree basis en won by Edwin two teletext notations with the 5th NPO Orleans against 14.177 pigeons and the 8th NPO Bourges against 9503 pigeons and is a half-sister of the 1st nat. Ace bird long distance WHZB 2006 which won the

-12th NPO Bourges against 9503 pigeons.

The other pillar on which the loft is founded are the pigeons from Marcel Sangers. After Marcel bought his “Golden Crown” from Edwin at the end of 2003 these two fanciers have remained in contact with each other.

The aforementioned “Golden Crown”is a very good racing and breeding hen. In the loft by Edwin she won two first prizes in big races with a car and a place on teletext and both times against more than 14.000 pigeons. In breeding by Marcel she became the mother of the tow nest mates “Jackpot” and “Blacklabel” which won the 1st and 5th NPO Orleans respectively against 18.127 pigeons. Joint breeding was also done later with Marcel to bring the niveau of their pigeons to a higher level.
