(25/05/2012) The classic Bourges opens the Belgian national racing calendar 2012 this weekend - follow it live on PIPA
The national ‘Bourges I’ is the traditional opening classic of the Belgian national racing season at the end of May. As in previous years, PIPA will be covering all Belgian national as well as all international races live and direct.

The 2012 racing season is well underway with the races for youngsters which started this weekend. And on May 26th, we have the national Bourges, traditional opener of the ‘national racing calendar’ in Belgium. So it is time to close down the sales market and to concentrate on the competitions!

The way the super colony of Jelger Klinkenberg has dominated the North-Holland sprint and middle distance races in 2012 is nothing less than sensational. Top-class hen and Europe Cup racer ‘Miss Magic’ is on a winning spree with 4 top 10 prizes in the district; her niece ‘Miss Perfect’ is becoming a new Klinkenberg sensation with two fantastic victories in seven days!
(18/05/2012) Super weekend for Ton Klomp (Emmercompascum, NL) with first prizes against 5,424 and 9,715 pigeons
A spectacular double strike, that is what the ambitious Ton Klomp achieved on 12 May. After achieving 1st and 2nd Open against 9,715 pigeons in the sprint race from Grimbergen - he continued his momentum with a 1st, 7th and 9th NPO North at the NPO race from Breuil le Vert against 5,424 pigeons. His hard work has paid off!

We regret to announce the death of Louis Van Loon from Poppel, a celebrated pigeon fancier. The strain which Louis developed during his longstanding career always guaranteed success, even the greatest pigeon fanciers came to Poppel for top-quality birds. Louis himself always kept it simple. He died at the age of 89…

If you are a lover of one loft races with strong international competition and 20 participating countries, you should not miss the 13th edition of the Balkanic Fair-Play Race in Romania. Since 2000, Balkanic Fair-Play One Loft Race offers to its participants one of the largest prize money funds in Eastern Europe, with an anticipated prize fund of more than EUR 40,000 for the 2012 race.

At the beginning of March, the third edition of the Great Wall One Loft Race began in Peking. This race is organised by Dr. Guo Weiching (alias Great Wall). Great Wall is co-founder of Sihuan Farmacie, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in China. Recently, he became the biggest collector of exclusive pigeons in China.

This week 2 new top auctions have started: as 1st the Leo Heremans auction with 8 yb of his best breeders included. These birds were kept for his own breeding loft, but after PIPA's visit he could be convinced to put them in auction! Second auction is the April Auction with some real topracers and breeders included, such as a.o. 2 Europacup birds by Joksch-Bremen.
