The ‘All round Champion Nr 1 from Belgium’, the ‘wonderboy’ from As… it are just some of the superlatives that show the achievements of the colony of Jos Thoné within the last few years. The public auction of Jos Thoné, organized by PiPa in December 2010, has broken many records. The average sales price was 9.900 euro per pigeon (134 pigeons in total) and this is in our opinion a record that will last for a long time. Before his record auction, PiPa asked Jos Thoné to keep some late summer youngs from his absolute top pigeons for this auction. In this auction you can find children from the breeding jewel from As ‘Sedna I’, ‘Pro Freddy’, ‘The Artificial Jutta’ and her daughter ‘Dora Mar’, the ‘Nadira’, the favourite breeding pigeon ‘Sedmos’, ‘Bonk’, ‘Mother Frans’ etc.… Video

De Jos Thoné veiling is zonet geëindigd en bleek een fantastisch succes te zijn. Ondanks de sneeuw in België, Nederland en Duitsland bleken de duivenliefhebbers bereid om naar Thorn af te zakken om mee te bieden op de duiven van Jos Thoné.

Niel-bij-As. - Reeds enkele weken gonst het van de geruchten in de provincie Limburg en ver daarbuiten… Het zou wel eens kunnen zijn dat er een topper-van-formaat straks publiek gaat verkopen ( minus jonge duiven ). Diverse namen bereikten onze redactie, maar de laatste weken ging het nog maar om één naam: Jos Thoné. Niemand won zoveel keer de 'Gouden Duif' en werd door Versele-Laga zovele malen uitgeroepen tot 'Wereldkampioen'...Hij won ook samen met zijn compagnon van weleer internationaal Barcelona, hij won alles wat er te winnen viel in de duivensport... Als we het over één zaak eens kunnen zijn, dan is het wel dat Jos Thoné in duivenmiddens één van de meest besproken figuren is van ons land. Enerzijds omdat Jos niet verlegen zit om zijn schouders onder een of ander project te zetten dat ergens promotie van onze duivensport inhoudt… Report

De nationale Gueret werd een mooie afsluiter van een perfect verlopen ‘nationaal’ vluchtseizoen 2009, zonder noemenswaardige obstakels. Integendeel, we kunnen gerust stellen dat de weergoden in 2009 redelijk ‘duivengezind’ waren, dit in tegenstelling tot vorig jaar 2008, toen uitgestelde lossingen en ‘regenvluchten’ schering en inslag waren. During the weekend of 18 July the semi-national classic from Vierzon was on the programme for the East Cantons of our country. Despite the ominous weather forecast for the weekend, everything came right in the end ... Report
