In the 1960s, Hans Eijerkamp visited the Janssen Brothers for the first time. In this short movie, he tells us about that visit, his experience with the Janssen birds as a pigeon fancier and his personal experience with the Janssen Brothers.

There had been rumours before, but Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp have now decided to make the grand distance their main goal again for 2012, with the main objective being the Queen’s race in Barcelona. Their present stock of overnight pigeons, with cracks such as ‘Drogba’, ‘Mabel’, ‘Salinero’, ‘Tiesto’ and ‘Henry’ will form the basis of their colony, together with pigeons from Harry and Roger Wijnands from Maastricht, which were purchased in 2006 and 2007.

Cette année, cette top classe leur a permi de se classer dix-sept fois (17!) parmi le top 10 des prestigieux concours du NPO à un jour de vol. Tout cela en sachant qu'il n'y avait que 11 concours et donc 11 possibilités de le faire, bon pour une moyenne de 1.5 pigeons par places Télétexte; tout simplement incroyable.

Op de eerste serieuze testcase van 2011 liet Team Eijerkamp geen twijfel bestaan over de aspiraties van deze jaargang … De Brummense grootmacht haalde vernietigend uit, wat leidde tot een historische serie van zes duiven in de top 10! In cijfers 2.-3.-4.-5.-7.-8. Morlincourt tegen 14.598 duiven; een ‘outstanding’ staaltje overheersing.
