Op zaterdag 17 oktober 2009 zat de feestzaal van ‘domein De Vossenberg’ opnieuw tot in de kleinste uithoek gevuld voor de huldiging van de laureaten van de 32e editie van de ‘Gouden Vleugel’-competitie van de Brugse Barcelonaclub. Het was de eerste editie onder het voorzitterschap van Dr Andre Gyselbrecht, die de voorzitterssjerp van de betreurde Antoine Vanhove heeft overgenomen, toen sportvriend Antoine begin dit jaar kwam te overlijden. Zowaar geen sinecure om een ‘monument’ als Antoine Vanhove te vervangen…
Friday 7th of August, I visited Romania. The reason for this trip was to make a visit to our best Romanian customer Dr. Sorin Paul Stanescu, his loft manager Cosmin Dobre and their good friend Dr. Geronimo Branescu ( this visit was on Sunday 9th of August ). We also visited Friday Simion Emil and on Saturday we attended the final of the Balcanic Fair Play One Loft Race. When I say "we" in the report, i mean me and my right hand in Romania Dr. Dinu Mihai.

In July 2009 we had the honour to visit Rocco Toscani in Italy. I didn't know it before I visited Rocco, but it seems he belongs to one of the most famous families in Italy!

In June/July 2009 Luna and myself make a round trip in China. We try to visit as many as possible customers from PiPa. Of course with a limited time schedule and such a huge country like China, it is impossible to visit all of them. But this trip is such a great succes, so it will be repeated in the future. And then we can visit another group of customers. It is amazing to see that in such a short period of time, PiPa became a househould name in China when it comes down to exclusive pigeons. Last weekend the International One Loft Race Derby Arona in Tenerife was on the programme for the 4th time. This 4th edition also saw an exponential growth in the number of enrolments for the 4th time in a row. In Tenerife, Jose Ledesma, founder of this One Loft Race, gave us a personal account of his successful project.
