Bart and Nance have long been a rising star in our competition, but thanks to their recent achievements at the highest level they are now considered one of the household names in pigeon racing in Belgium. Their collection of top quality pigeons is based on the old lines of their father Jan Van Oeckel, along with the outstanding breeders from Leo Heremans, Bart Geerinckx, and the invaluable Diels. They continued to dominate the provincial and national competition thanks to the impressive lines of Diamant (stock sire Zwarte Diamant) and Tennis (notably their breeding pigeon Lendl). Their move in 2014 eventually convinced them to auction their best racing pigeons on PIPA, making for an impressive collection of some of the finest Belgian bloodlines.
The national victory from Tours was a crowning achievement for Benny Steveninck, who had another splendid season with several great results. Benny had already won two provincial victories and two national victories in the zone with descendants of his amazing Chipo earlier this season. Especially for PIPA, Benny bred a select group of young birds from his very best breeding pairs that represent his top quality pigeon breed. Unsurprisingly, this auction includes quite a few descendants of his outstanding Sun breeding pair, which has developed into his impressive new stock pair.
Geoff and Catherine Cooper have been at the top of UK National and Classic racing for over twenty five years. Racing overseas into the South West of the UK, the birds need to extra special to be able to cope with the strong head winds which are nearly always blowing across the sea. Geoff and Catherine’s developed one of the top families in the world; they brought them a/o 1st Bordeaux International by 45 minutes ahead … 1st Pau International by 32 minutes … 1st Pau International Hens … and six 1st Nationals plus over sixty 1st Provincials (sections). In this auction a top quality selection of youngsters from their best racers and breeders.
We organise different auctions with youngsters from phenomenal pigeons, which have often been sold to foreign fanciers for a lot of money, or which are no longer fertile. Such collectors items are among the finest pigeons available, and we have selected a few of them for a unique PIPA auction.
Lex De Jongh, Ype Hemstra and Leo Heesackers have been building a pigeon breed since 2009 in an attempt to develop a modern day racing pigeon, and this breed enabled them to win great prizes in the NPO classics much sooner than expected. This was the result of a combination of stock breeders of utmost quality. The sprint champions of Leo Heremans and the solid bloodlines of Jan Hooymans, Pieter Veenstra and the Scheele brothers provided the basis for their breeding team, which was further strengthened with such icons as Rudi, New Freddy, De Gust, Wondere Dirk, Vechtmachine, and Olympic Helena. Theo Lehnen played a key role in the development of our sport in Germany. He won several ace pigeon titles and first prizes in his own loft, and other fanciers have achieved excellent results thanks to the pigeons of Lehnen as well, both in the German competition and the prestigious international one loft races. All of the best breeding pigeons of this renowned loft will now be offered for sale on PIPA in what promises to be an auction of unprecedented quality.
The Goldstück pigeon breed of the late Heinz Meier brought a revolution in pigeon racing in Germany. Goldstück, a direct Koopman breeder from Blue Energy x Golden Lady, is the sire of many top class pigeons, including the winners of a 1st and 2nd Nat. hen Germany 2010. Injaaz managed to obtain some of the best pigeons that were auctioned by Heinz Meier, and nine youngsters from Goldstück and his nest brother will now be offered for sale.
