Marcel Sangers & Paul Ung (Eefde, NL) going to Europacup with 1° and 3° Dutch long distance pigeon

The final verdict? The 2011 season will go down as unparalleled for the amazing Sangers-Ung duo.

The NL08-1125133 ‘Black Diamond’, the best long distance pigeon, is to represent The Netherlands at the Europa Cup in Dortmund… she is a super hen with an ever-growing list of achievements: she was Marcel’s first pigeon in the NPO classic Orleans for three consecutive years, and in 2011, she was first in three flights in a row at the PV De Hoven club, over a total distance of 1,400km within fourteen days. And after finishing as 11° National ace pigeon one-day long distance NPO, she is now honoured as number one in the Europa Cup. Over three years, this hen (a direct Camphuis) has won the following prizes:

The top hen NL08-1174978 ‘Edani’ will be participating in the Europa Cup as 3° Dutch long distance pigeon… this will be the second podium position in a National Competition for this winged lady, which has already won 3° National Ace Pigeon long distance NPO 2011. These are two more top prizes to add to the already impressive list of achievements of ‘Edani’:

With these additional top prizes in province 8 GOU, ‘Edani’ has already won the titles of 3° Ace Pigeon one-day long distance 2010 (against 10,816 p.) and 1° Ace Pigeon one-day long distance 2011 (against 10,510 p.). She is a perfect illustration of the good genes of her forefathers. Her father is ‘Crown Jewel’, brother of ‘The golden crown’, which has taken two consecutive first prizes against more than 14,000 pigeons for Edwin Hoogland, and which developed as a top breeder under Marcel: his descendants have already won 1°-2°-5° and 6° NPO. By Marcel, the mother was bred from two direct Koopman pigeons; ‘Jonge Vechter’ (a son  ‘Bassira) x ‘Chiari’ (from ‘Kleine Dirk''s own mother ‘Golden Lady').

The phenomenal success at the Europa Cup is the icing on the cake for Sangers-Ung in 2011, which is quite a cake already:
