Georges Lenaerts - Saint-Georges, Luik wins Brive National 4th of June 2005

There were 850 pigeons more than in 2004 for the national Brive race ; totally 20.327 were liberated at 7h00 clock am in Brive saturday morning. Because of the West / South-West wind the first pigeons were expected in the East Side of the country, or maybe even in Luxemburg. For the first national this expectation is indeed true. But it is good to see that the whole country has toppigeons ; only the coast side of Belgium had difficulties to catch early pigeons.

Mr Georges Lenaerts , 63 years old from Rue Mallieue, Saint-Georges-Sur-Meuse, living in the province of Liège, became national winner Brive 2005. His pigeon wins the race with a speed that is 25 meters / minute faster than the 2nd pigeon in the race, from Leekens-Hermans-Thone, living in Niel-As, Limburg. East - Flanders is also very strong represented with the 3rd and 4th place from Sylvain Dhondt and Desmet André en Patrick from Semmerzake.

The small fancier is the big winner
Georges Lenaerts can be called a small fancier with great performances. A small fancier because Georges started with only 34 widowers, from which 15 old ones. Georges does not race hens, the national winner with ringnumber 1048409/2000, is a 5 year old cock. But the winning pigeon "Ronaldo" did also perform excellent in the past. He won almost every year great prizes.
In 2002 he became 1st provincial Angoulème, in 2003 1st provincial Jarnac, in 2004 69th national Orange and now in 2005 - 1st national Brive. The "Brive Ronaldo" is a cross Grondelaers Opglabbeek - Persoons Halen. Georges only basketted 3 pigeons on the national Brive race and he won 1st, 5th and 10th in his club against 120 pigeons.

Avec 850 pigeons de plus qu’en 2004, 20.327 pigeons furent lâchés à Brive à 7 heures. Vu le vent sud-ouest assez fort, les premiers pigeons furent attendus dans l’Est du pays ou peut-être même dans le Luxembourg.
Ce fut le cas pour le premier lieu, mais il est évident qu’il y a des pigeons de tête dans tout le pays. La région côtière a un peu plus difficile.

Le vainqueur national fut Georges Lenaerts, 63 ans de la Rue Mallieue, à Saint-Georges-sur-Meuse, province de Liège. Son pigeon vole 25 mètres de plus par minute que le deuxième gagnant, Leekens-Hermans-Thone de Niel-As dans le Limbourg. La Flandre Orientale est très bien représentée avec comme 3ème place Sylvain Dhondt et à la quatrième place Desmet André et Patrick de Semmerzake.

Le petit amateur, grande victoire :
Georges Lenaerts est plutôt un petit colombophile mais avec de grandes prestations. Il a démarré avec 34 veufs parmi lesquels 15 vieux. Il ne joue pas les femelles. Le vainqueur national est un mâle de 5 ans avec comme bague le 1048409/2000. "Ronaldo" n’est pas à son coup d’essai.
Chaque année, il preste d’une façon admirable.
En 2002, il fut 1er Provincial Angoulème, en 2003, 1er provincial Jarnac, en 2OO4, 69ème national Orange et maintenant en 2005, 1er national Brive "Le Brive-Ronaldo" est un croisement Grondelaers Opglabeek – Persoons Halen. Georges avait 3 pigeons à Brive et se classèrent localement 1er, 5e et 10e de 120 pigeons.

Met 850 duiven meer dan in 2004 werden 20.327 duiven gelost te Brive om 7 uur. Gezien de strakke West - Zuid-westenwind werden de eerste duiven verwacht in het Oosten van het land, of misschien zelfs Luxemburg.
Voor de eerste plaats is dit het geval, maar het valt op dat er topduiven zijn in het hele land. Alleen de kuststrook heeft het iets moeilijker.

Mooi nationaal winnaar werd Georges Lenaerts , 63 jaar uit de Rue Mallieue, Saint-Georges-Sur-Meuse, provincie Luik. Zijn duif vliegt 25 meter per minuut sneller dan de verdienstelijke tweede, Leekens-Hermans-Thone uit het Limburgse Niel-As. Oostvlaanderen is ook sterk vertegenwoordigd met op de derde plaats Sylvain Dhondt en op de vierde Desmet André en Patrick uit Semmerzake.

De kleine melker de grote winnaar :
Georges Lenaerts is eerder een kleine melker maar met grootse prestaties.
Er werd gestart met 34 weduwnaars waarvan 15 oude. Met duivinnen wordt niet gespeeld. De nationale winnaar is een 5 jarige duiver met ringnummer 1048409/2000. Met deze nationale overwinning is "Ronaldo" duidelijk niet aan zijn proefstuk. Ieder jaar levert hij een prachtprestatie.
