Gyselbrecht-Madeira uit Ruiselede
In the coast province we see the colony Gyselbrecht-Madeira regularly having early pigeons year after year in the important races. Enough then to dedicate a piece to them.
In 2004 a start was made in the lofts in Ruiselede under the name Gyselbrecht-Madeira with the Middle and Long Distance races. This combination consists of . on the one side Dr. André Gyselbrecht and his sons Peter & Hannes, plus on the other side Dr. David Madeira from Portugal.
The Middle Distance - and Long Distance happenings were mainly snatched with pigeons originating from Dr. David Madeira , who has a lot of top Belgium pigeons in his breeding lofts ..Amongst other things he is the lucky owner of a collection of exceptional "fine-fleur"- pigeons from, amongst others, Van Hove-Uytterhoeven (including the "Amsterdam" :70th nat Bourges 12682p - 18th nat Bourges 18657p etc ) , from Georges Bolle (including a son of the 1st nat Dax '98), from J. & J. Engels, from Roger Vereecke, from Roger Florisoone , from Robert & Chris Dobbelaere (including the famous "Express" : 25th nat Narbonne 5619 yl - 30th Angoulème 3363p - 50th nat Cahors 11838p - 56th nat Narbonne 6228p - 92nd nat Montauban 7220p - 192nd nat Montauban 7764p etc ), .
These origins were later supplemented with pigeons from 2 top lofts from Ruiselede, namely from Antoine & Rudi De Saer and from Rik Cools.
That successes followed speaks for itself!

. They didn't lose faith and the last 2 seasons they bought a handful of class pigeons in order to fill a "rich" breeding loft
..A question of adding excellent crossing material.

A) "Le Limoges" 9089312/03 :

With this super pigeon from Bourlard & Fils from the Waalse Harveng they not only bought a national winner, but for a part they also retook a piece of the old stock of the Gyselbrecht family. The grandmother of "Le Limoges" on mother's side is the "Gyselbrecht hen" 95-3267721, through Bourlard& Fils bought in the Gyselbrecht auction in '96. She stems out the "Van der Wegen" NL-93-0054260 with "Sister Blue Barcelona" B-88-4560134 ( take heed!! The "Blue Barcelona" won, amongst other things 7th internat Barcelona '91 and is Vanbruaene-origin).
The "Gyselbrecht hen" is also a super breeding hen who is now grandmother of the 1st nat Limoges, of the 1st nat Cahors, she is further mother of the 1st nat Orange hens , of the 69th nat Béziers, of the 58th nat Limoges, of the 58th nat Narbonne etc
.in addition she is also grandmother of the 16th nat. St Vincent and grandmother of the 10th nat Perpignan, etc
. "Le Limoges" is not only a beautiful pigeon, but he can also prove in races with "real" pigeon weather that he really is full of unique pigeon class.
In this way his wins in 2005 included 1st nat Limoges 12266p and 1st nat Limoges Derby 6617p with a velocity of 1041 m/m. In that same season he also scored as 97th National from Cahors against 9275p and 13th nat. zone B against 2863p with a velocity of 1014 m/m. In his pedigree we see the following ingredients:

B) "Le 102": 9007102/02 from the great champion Henry Van Neste from the Waalse Feluy. Here also there was a pigeon bought that had already proved itself in the results !
"Le 102" - a unique red cock- who by the way is a full brother of the famous "Supercrack 210/03" from Van Neste - and self won a series of top prizes in the Nationals. So was he: In 2003: 11th from Bourges against 2748 yl.

.. The "Punch" is a son from the stock couple "Le Borgne Dedeyne" x "sister 1st nat Montauban 5355p", this last one is a daughter of the "Plume Banche" with "La Belle Deseyn" out the 1st nat Limoges from Deseyn-Vandemeulebroucke, a line that produces marvellous descendants.

H) Also 3 direct Florisone-hens came to conjugate the breeding loft ! 3 hens from Florisone were added for the somewhat tougher distances, including a daughter out the 1st nat Barcelona '99
I ) For the Grand Distance
.. 3 hens from Roger Desmet-Mathys from Nokere In Nokere three hens were chosen, namely a daughter out :
- the "Laudrup" ( 4th nat Barcelona '99 ) with "Daughter James" ( "James": 2nd internat Dax '99)
- "James" with "Daughter Edison" ( "Edison": 1st nat Dax '93)
- "Red Bulle" : 45th nat Bordeaux
J) Strengthening was also bought from the super loft Emiel Denys from Tielt
In '97 the "Kleine Tee" won by Emiel the 5th nat & 7th international from Barcelona
..from this "Kleine Tee" there sits a son and a daughter in the breeding loft by Gyselbrecht-Madeira, also a daughter out the "Express Barcelona" who won 12th nat Barcelona in '99.

It is a public secret that the Gyselbrechts have over the years acquired name and fame in the (inter)national pigeon world. Firstly through the absolute super performances of father Remi Gyselbrecht in the Middle Distance. Later
. Around the middle of the eighties

Once the arrows were directed more and more to the Extreme Long Distance - especially Barcelona - it didn't take long before the Gyselbrechts stood at the (inter) national top in the queens races of the year.
